Well its broken again, and might be another starter related problem. I can turn the key and hear the starter kick in, however it doesn't hit the flywheel and won't crank the engine. Dad mentioned it might be broken flywheel teeth. I think I'm don't working on this car, it doesn't stay fixed.
Sorry to hear about that. I know the feeling!
Don't give up, you'll get it fixed!

Oh, I thought it was not starting at the house.
I broke down along the side of the freeway once i my 65. Vapor lock they thought it was? I think they had routed the fuel line over the top of the intake which caused it vapor lock.

I wish it broke at home. The starter went out on campus as well, so this is #2 for breakdowns on campus. Just glad my girlfriend was able to pick me up and take me to get my backup ride which is pretty much my DD because the mustang doesn't stay fixed long enough. I had a car show planned for this Saturday as well.

Yeah, these cars can be a pain. I've spent WAY too much money on mine! lol

Yeah they sell the 157 teeth flywheel ring gear, and all you do is torch it up so it expands and slip it on the flywheel. I don't believe they sell the manual flywheel for a 200 I6.

Its getting a new starter as well. Went and got the one I had on the car tested and it failed. So we think that might have caused the flywheel problem. So I am going to wait on replacing the teeth and see if the new starter will work.

Only drivetrain part that hasn't been replaced is the engine on my 67.
I've replaced the rearend, driveshaft, transmission, clutch, had flywheel resurfaced, different carburetor (2 times), different distributor, new starter, spun the balancer so it was replaced, and got a new water pump, also fried the alternator, battery, voltage regulator, couple coils, and the solenoid switch.
