1 would be paid for and the other would be in about 2 years. 1 would have cheap insurance, the other not so much.

You're young. You only need one car don't you?

I called over to a local Maaco shop today and got a quote for a paint job. It's here in the new thread I made about it.

I may only need 1, but I want 2.
Maybe drive the 67 on sunny days and the GT on rainy ones. Or swap out every week.

Plan on making mine exactly like the black one I posted if I don't buy it. However I might go with the Saleen kit instead of putting Cobra bumpers on.

OK, you don't like the 05-09 Mustangs? They'll be plenty of those around pretty quick since the 2011 is coming out.

I don't want to spend over 7k on the car. I like the new ones, but it would take forever to pay off.

Over 2 years

I'm staying home to go to college for 2 years and then going off for the last 2. So that means I have about 2 years to pay it off.

I've got to talk to my parents about the mustang though. I found a 99 GT I would like to own, and I would have to finish the mustang up next weekend and forget about the header. Then I would have to get a loan to pay for the GT and then over the next year or so pay it off. Also means I won't be going off to college for the first couple years. But for this mustang I would be willing to wait.

This is the GT:
Dear lord, that's my vision of the perfect Mustang save for the missing Mach 1 shaker/hood

Yeah exactly why I want it. He did everything I like to it, even has a stock V6 rear bumper to make it cleaner.

Does it have turndowns? I think the V6 bumper doesn't look clean when combined with duals.... I like it, no doubt, reminds of the 5.0s and early SNs, but it's cleaner with the cut outs on the new edges

Well finally have an update. It got its final coat of primer Saturday night. Wednesday and Thursday we are wet sanding it down and then Saturday it goes in the paint booth for some color.

I'm so ready for this weekend!

I'll get some good pictures of it Wednesday before I take it over to start wet sanding. The primer looks and feels so smooth.

Good!

So you'll have two coats of primer, and how many of base, and then clear?

I'm not sure about that actually. I know I have 1 1/2 gallons of mixed base and 1 gallon of mixed clear.
