Yeah my moms van is Black Cherry and you can see the dirt on it, but back when my 67 was red you couldn't really see dirt because the color was so bright.
Yeah, a brighter red would be better day to day. Here's a link to the 2011 Race Red pace car.

Well I'm finally going to pull the transmission. Been needing to get 3rd gear fixed and now I have time. Spring break is here, parents are gone, and I have the garage all to myself. So I have 2 cars to fix, my DD messed up Friday and then fix the mustang. Good thing I have my dads truck to drive.
It's good that you have the time. I lost an hour today due to Daylight savings time. Errr!
I think I'll go for a drive today, it's real nice outside!

I'm about to sacrifice my exhaust too. I plan on getting a header soon, so I'm cutting my exhaust to help get my tranny out.
EDIT: Cut it

Well I've had to stop for now. I got sick(think lack of sleep is catching up) while trying to get the tranny out. So I am taking a break for a couple hours and see if I can't get back out there soon.

Well, I hope you feel better.
I went down to the car wash and they couldn't get my car started. There's a switch that makes sure that the car is in park when you start. I think it fell out of adjustment. I was able to get it going by putting it in neutral.

Neutral safety switch
I am feeling better now. I laid down for a couple hours and then came back out. I now have the transmission out and the shifter off. I spilled a bunch of tranny fluid though. So I'm going to have to get some cat litter to clean it up. Also have to drain the transmission before I fully take it apart.

Ok, well I'm checking on a turbo setup first. I know where to get pretty much everything I need to finish it up. If he still has the stuff I'm going to go Friday and buy it from him. If he doesn't have it I will buy my header.

Well I didn't know paint was this cheap. I only spent $133 on my base coat and reducer. Then clear will be a little more than that. I may be able to get the turbo stuff thursday because I'll have cash left over.
Well good then. When are you going to have that guy paint it for you?

Probably after I get my turbo stuff done. lol
I don't think I can drive around with no exhaust
However if I can get a trailer I will just trailer it over there and get it done first.

Well my clear was cheaper than I thought too. Only cost me $183 for a gallon(everything mixed) of it. Now I have money left over to get turbo stuff.
After I buy that I need new fuel lines, new fuel pump, o2 sensor, exhaust, wideband gauge, boost gauge, gauge pod, and maybe more. Thats at least another $400, but will be well worth it.
