Down near the bottom of the page is my video of Quads, with QTP cutouts and Borla ATAK. The quads are not that loud. Save your money and dont bother with the cutouts.

Curious what others are thinking about the quads with no restrictors in sound wise. I'm not going to install mine but I'm not taking the resonators out of the AB's until I see how loud it'll all be with no restrictors and the gt500 ab's. tracking show delivery next Tuesday from AM. I'm getting them installed at the dealer when I go in for an oil change Wednesday. So looking forward to this mod.

Thanks for the info!! $350 is a lot of money for those if I can avoid getting them... I don't like an obnoxiously loud exhaust, and just like u I don't like the raspiness of the X pipes, I like a nice deep sound. So not that much louder huh? I have Borla S axlebacks. I guess worst case if I do find them too loud I can invest in cutouts later, hopefully they sound just right.

If the side exit is too loud just tune the sound with the baffles.

Please post a sound clip and stop teasing us.

Are your GT500 axle backs the 2013-14 quad tips or the -2012 style?

the gt500 ab's are the 2012 style, not the quad exhaust setup - and I can post a video - however I'll tell you all now that I've listened to a number of video clips on youtube and nothing compares to in person... it's throaty, it's meaty.... cold start is amazing - however the sound you get from just running around town, down shifting.... You'd need expensive film gear to get that sound... I'll see what I can do though.

Actually - I remember seeing a qtp cutout video, when the guy opens it up, the sound is very similar to the sound I am getting with the 302 quad's with the gt500 ab's.

Looking for some tips on the install of the QTP Electric cutouts...I'm more interested in the wiring. Where the switch goes, the route you ran the wire, and where and how you connected the hot wire.

Thanks.

I ran the wiring behind the heatshields and above the tranny to the shifter cutout. I have an auto, so I just removed the shifter and fished the wires through.

I used the cig lighter in the center console for power, and put the switch in there also. There is a plastic piece on the driverside that pops out.
