Oh, ok. That makes more sense. Might as well change the fuel filter... they're pretty cheap.

Well did the transmission fluid swap and replaced the fuel filter. Not very exciting i know. The transmission fluid was only slightly dirty, so not much difference. A bit smoother. Now the fuel filter was a big deal, at least to me. It was the original filter that was from the factory, and when I took it off and tipped it sideways, black fuel and sentiment poured out. Glad I got that crap out of my fuel system.

Up next is a tune, throttle body (70mm) and plenum.

I did notice a slight difference with the cai, so hopefully with all this it will be a huge gain over stock.

Also I plan to make my first dyno run this march on a mustang dyno. I'm pretty excited to see what I can put down.

I am really hoping to see 255 rwhp and 280rwtq with a
-93 octane "race tune"
-airaide cai
-professional products 70mm tb
-professional products plenum

Comments or suggestions welcomed!

These are on my list for spring time. I will (probably) also swap plugs as well and flush coolant.

Yes I did actually. It is deeper idling and completely different driving around. Well imho. It sounds mean.

You could always wait for a shop to host a dyno day just to see what numbers you put down. I did that just to see what my baseline was.

Let me give y'all a little update. I have narrowed down what I want for my car. I am going to do a vortech v1 supercharger with a built rear and and replace the clutch. I plan to have all this done and ready by the very end if the year. But I am going to start piecing everything together now.

Woot!

I am going to start with the supporting mods first to be safe. It will cost $800 to do the clutch and $1100 for the rear end (31 spline moser axles, frpp diff, weld the axle tubes, all labor).

I plan on doing the $1500 supercharger which was featured in another forum.

For those of you that don't know about it you basically buy a used vortech head unit and buy all the misc parts from superchargersonline.com

This would be my luck... I think the differential is shot guys..

it clunks and rattles when i am making a turn slowly.. What could it be? I also found that the rear sear on the diff is leaking very slightly...

what should i do guys??

Should i get this and attempt the install myself?? http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...-Lug-410-Gears

is it that hard???

You say it's leaking slightly, but how long has it been leaking? Perhaps it's already empty and that's why it's making the noise?

I personally wouldn't attempt it, if you haven't done gears before. Even if you take it to a shop, make sure they'll stand behind their work and redo it as many times as necessary if it whines afterwards.
