It was dark and I was cruising on the highway, going over a hill at about 65 when a brownish lump appeared in the road ahead. Looked like a small deer or big dog, road-killed and not cleared away yet. Temperature was a little below freezing and it had snowed earlier, so the pavement was too slick for sudden swerves or stops. I went right over it, didn't hit any of my wheels, heard a thump underneath. Rolled up on ramps later and found the telltale clump of white and brown fur caught in the chassis. No damage.
I hit a live deer with my old car this summer, and that was much worse. Those are beautiful animals and it breaks my heart to hurt one for no reason.

yeah it makes me sad to see one killed on highways. senseless.
glad you and your car are ok!
well we just got our first "snow" here, so sadly that put a dampener on working on the transmission (its blowing cold wind at 30 or so degrees) so I took the 'stang to the garage to work on it (and I sadly do not have a two post lift and need one anyways) so ehh...got a loner car at the moment, the Blue Turd a 2003 Chevy Impala, was going to put it in the garage but it died in my driveway (bad battery) so I think it didn't want to go where the Mustang is, either that or its terrified that my F250 was going to be parked in front of it and it just wants to go away...yea I will go with that hehe....

Good luck Jim.
We're supposed to get some snow sometime late this weekend/Monday.
Yeah I bet.
You wouldn't want that pretty little truck to get dirty now, would you? lol ...
I'm somewhat worried about the Monday morning commute to school, I have a final I have to take starting at 8AM ...
And another one Tuesday at 10AM, and another one Tuesday at 6PM.
This snow that will supposedly last from Sunday night till Tuesday morning has a chance to really screw me up.
I changed the oil in the truck yesterday, did the fiancee's Subaru today, rotated the tires on both vehicles, greased whatever fittings they have, reset their tire pressures and topped off the washer fluids.
I guess they're as ready for the snow as I can make them.
I usually have fun in the snow with my truck, but now I NEED to get to school right in the middle of the storm ... not gonna be fun.
Yeah I bet.

You're absolutely right. LOL
Drove safe on Monday and obviously give yourself tons of time to get where you need to be. All the idiots are out full force every time it snows it seems.
Especially where you are, you guys are getting about 4-6 inches of snow I believe. No sweat for the Tundra beast though.
Spent a couple hours working on my heat exchanger .... what a PIA. Had to cut some spacers for the pump to sit flush due to the pump and hose hitting the fan
I changed the engine oil and filter, and the ProCharger oil today in my Mustang. Also changed the oil and filters in my wife's Miata and Saturn. This was after cleaning the gutters, trimming the hedges, and mowing up the leaves for the last time this year.

It's all good. Today I switched out the rocks and dumbbells for four sand bags. 280 lbs in the trunk. The other stuff I had wanted to roll around. It's cool learning how to handle the slide. It'll get better as time goes by. I did this with all my older cars so it's coming back to me.
The 4.6 liter seems to love the cold weather. The Engine will idle all day in this cold and hardly use gas. It's incredible how the V8 stays hot an hour or two after shutting off. I'm liking this as a winter vehicle. I need a car wash bad.
They don't sell them anymore? Guess we lucked out! They're probably my favorite mod. And I'm still dying to hear Marilyn. Can't imagine how it sounds with the headers.

I am jealous of all y'all's winter fun, since I do absolutely zero with Marilyn during this time. Did you know it's 4 degrees here, with a wind chill of -10? Joy.
Mark, take it easy up there. I'm sure it's colder there by you.

Haha, I wasn't out having fun. Wasn't feeling well, so I just got to see everyone else. lol Absolutely loving the ST though. So glad I bought it. Put some Michelin X-ice tires on and it does awesome. If only it was an RS.
