I understand completely. I have been treated so outrageously by those I trusted with my life it would curl your hair, and it is highly unlikely I would ever be a member of a 'church' or 'congregation' again. That trust has been broken for good. They preach about love their brother while at the same time stealing one's livelihood with lies and slander, including falsehoods to the evil one's government, and look the other way when they almost succeed in pushing one into banko. The great stumbling of so many like you and I means there are numerous phony baloney's that have a millstone with their own name on it, but are too stupid to know that passage refers to them. Thankfully I relied on the higher one who sustained me, conquered them, and brought be back from the edge. I never quit on him and his son throughout the whole ordeal that lasted several years, nor blamed them for the evil others were doing.
But I never said anything about religion did I?
And regardless of the many liars and thieves that wear their neon halo's, none of them can take away the truth found in the book, nor block the saving power of the shed red I referred to. You come from a long line of spiritual people and you have a good heart. You might want to dust off the old book on your own. It might even chase away those demons in your dreams. And put that old kjv back to the 1600's where it belongs. The almighty's power is channeled through the book and prayer, and the evil one is a limp dick against it.
In hindsight, the stumbling was allowed for the purpose of getting me out of there, for the purpose of being fed and sustained directly. I know others like this. You may be one too...

My boys are 1 and 12. Tag is still very puppyish while Leto is the tolerant old guard. They both chased a black bear out of the yard this week but Tag usually ends up behind me or under the bed still LOL!
