The TMS Dog Thread!
Happy to see her home again!
We've had LOTS of improvement in the past 24 hours. Much more than I expected to see.
She's eating again. Quite well. In fact we are now limiting how much she eats at once and are spreading out her food to make sure she doesn't make herself sick by gorging.
She's showing a LOT more energy now. Yesterday she was having trouble getting up and walking the 10 feet from where I put her bed to outside to pee. This morning she not only walked all the way across the house without prompting, but when she went outside to pee she spent about 5 minutes walking around the yard checking things out, tail wagging the whole time.
She's still weak, and it will probably take a week or more for her to regain all of the weight she lost, but she is recovering at an amazing rate since getting back home. Words cannot describe how thankful I am that we got her to the vet when we did. Another 8 hours and I doubt she would have made it.

Once or twice.
Here is my short trip down memory lane with her.

My dog will do the same. He will pull my socks off my foot if he can. He's never drawn blood, but sometimes he pinches my toes pretty hard in an effort to take them off my feet. Then he races around the house like he's carrying a trophy.
By the way, your hair looks shorter in your avatar. Did you get it cut?

mine loves to take off with something like a sock, shoe or slipper and hide it in the neutral zone (midway under our king bed) where we can see it but not reach it. When we return from a drive or something, he returns to the door with same trophy in his mouth. never damaged, just soggy
