Yeah I heard dogs with floppy ears are more prone to ear problems too. They claim that when they stick up they are supposed to air out better, but I left my dogs ears floppy and just clean them out regularly.

This was a cocker spaniel, so not only were they floppy but really heavy as well with all that curly hair. Never had a problem with his after I started using the Listerine, makes sense though. It kills bacteria and stuff in your mouth, and its got a lot of alcohol in it which mixes with water and lets it evaporate fast. Just like putting alcohol in your ear after swimming to get water out. Even that Swim-EAR stuff you buy is mostly alcohol.

The vet said cropping is better because they can breath.
Ummm ... I never put the water on his head tho. I always just wipe his head with a damp cloth.

Okay... so I am late to this thread and I have good news and bad news.
My 3 boys, 2 of which I put down . The first one is a Sheltie named Hamlet and he is the first one I put him down 3 years ago. The second one is a Jindo named Max and I put him down this past Monday April 15, 2013. The third one is a Chihuahua named Casanova and he is the last one of the bunch who is still with me.
P.S.: No clue how to resize them so they're not ridiculously huge.
