Speaking of top life, the top on that '67 is original. Everyone I talk to tells me a top won't make it 46 years, but it looks new, and goes up and down just fine. I've always just babied the crap out of it, and there you are...

 

Very impressive about the top's originality. How many miles on the car?

 

30,892 as of today. I bought it new in 1976 because a 16 year old wrecked it on a test drive in 1967 and even after being rebuilt at the dealership, they were unable to sell it for 9 years because no one wanted a new car with body work.

I have babied it until this year. Now, I am rapidly racking up the miles, using it as a daily driver.

 

That car brand new wasn't cheap back then for a teen.
That would really really suck, crash it on test drive. Poor guy

 

Interesting story. A '67 as a DD is another story all in itself. Enjoy the ride!

 

Tell me about it. Takes just a bit more insight and attention than a "regular" car, but is easier and more affordable than one might think.

Water pump went out yesterday, but that's only an hour's work and $20 for a replacement. Fact is, with the aftermarket like it is, vintage Mustangs are practical and affordable, provided one knows what to pay attention to.
