Nature Shots
Thanks
Hey I noticed you were considering getting a 2x converter...
Well, I have the Canon 2x II Extender EF (almost $300) - It is supposedly capable of "Autofocus", that just isn't so with my application. (Zoom Telephoto EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM)
It is a total pain in the butt to use, manually focusing through it is a crap shoot at best...
If I had it to do again, I would save that money and apply it toward another nice lens.

Well it looks like you have the same lens I have and that is the converter I was looking at so I guess I am glad I didn't order it. It would cost me about $460 to get it to my door, mind you that is over $12,800.00 cheaper than the 800mm lens I just looked at
I shoot a Nikon D40. It's an awesome camera, and sells for under $500. Cheaper than a lot of point & shoots.
My 18-200 VR lens cost a lot more than the camera did.

Real Mustangs
These are both the “original” Mustangs, they were caught in the wild by the the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). We adopted them from the BLM. We have gone from not even being able to get near them to not being able to touch them to having fully gentle saddle horses we are riding now.

This was the first day this Pinto Mustang Stud Colt was introduced to these domestic horses; he was showing them how cool he was. As you can see these other two Geldings were a little overwhelmed…

Quite the contrary, actually. It's only available as a kit with the 18-55 lens (at least it was at the time I got mine.) I just wanted more reach. And as soon as the new 50mm AF-S f/1.4 starts shipping, I'm grabbing one of those bastards too.
