Actually looks like a room now.
I thought Minnesota winters got so much snow?
What is that - 2/12 or maybe 3/12 roof pitch? A mobile home is only 2/12 and look how many of those fail from snow load.
24' span maybe 28'? 2x6's with no webbing?? Hope you shovel that roof regularly - with some kid that only weighs 50#s.
Don't let your insurance guy see that.

My dad knows what he's doing.
If you say so. But I've been on plenty of projects in snow country - incl my own - and that hardly looks engineered or safe for northern lattitudes.
Maybe in Texas.

Good luck.

Personally I think you're right Charlie. Even the pitch on the roof seems a little short to me. And I'm not a fan of 2x4 trusses. I'd rather have stick built 2x6 and 2x8 anyway. But to each his own.
Personally I'd rather have a laminated beam up there. Not sure what the span is there though. And 2x6 walls so you could pack it full of insulation...
The walls are 2x6. It's hard to see anything with the angle of the pic.
