Amazing how much bigger these new cars are than the old ones. I often look at mine side by side in the garage, and even my 70 which had grown quite a bit over the first generations looks small compared to the Shelby.

Not to mention the curves, angles and design lines of it are so much more artful, and the metal seems to have so much more substance to it when you touch or tap on it compared to the new ones I've had over the last few years.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Shelby, more than any of the s-197s I've had. It looks muscular, the way the fenders look like they're pulled taught around the wheel openings is night and day between the 08's I had. It looks like a big pumped up body builder in a t shirt a size too small. Like the skin of the body is stretched as tight as you can get it over a large muscular frame underneath it.

Still can't hold a candle to the classic beauty of the 70 though.

 

Steff, Jill, Amie, and DD probably need cold showers after reading that

Ran into my folded up Craftsman work bench. Sharp edge on the leg (of the bench, not my skinny leg). Cell phone was almost dead so I had to plug it in. Stupid thing is I thoughtvto myself "I'll have to run across the garage if someone calls. Power strip on the bench where I was working, but the bench was so cluttered I couldnt get to it. Guess what, I was cleaning off the bench.

Wasnt going to the clinic, but sent a pic to my son and he said go in. 7 stitches. But it never hurt, "It's merely a flesh wound!"
