At the American Muscle show a couple of weeks ago in Pennsylvania I talked to two guys who had the fold-away license plate bracket installed on their '13s, attached under the air splitter. Both said that it worked just fine, no complaints.

I asked because I've bought but not installed it because of concerns about whether the splitter would hold it.

 

I have the Fold-Away plate holder on my current Shelby and had one on my last Shelby. Works and looks great.

Yeah i've gotten a couple. Still leaving it off!

 

Bought a Craig no drill honeycomb mount, and I have a AM hideaway mount in the box. If I like the Craig, the AM is for sale. That is if I ever get the frickin car delivered.

Different vendors have them, but I got mine from American Muscle.

 

So do you hit the button after you've been pulled over for no front plate?

And geez - no hidden machine guns came with it?

 

That's an old option. 2013's come with lasers!

I installed the fold-under - manual version - available at American Muscle on my 2013 the other day. No problem.

 

Here in Illinois, we haveI-passs to automatically pay tolls on toll roads. You mount a transponder inside your vehicle to pay tolls. However, that is not how tolls are collected at all locations.

We have open-toll lanes where you don't have to go through a booth and can maintain highway speeds. In these lanes, the transponder isn't used for collecting tolls, they take pictures of your license plates. If you are missing a front license plate...

 

we have the same thing here in Texas, unfortunately if you're missing the front plate, there are also cameras taking pictures of the rear of the car and plate, so don't think you're getting out of paying the toll...

 

As I understand it, the gates around Houston with EZ Pass lanes read the RFID tag at highway speed. They only take a photo if there is no read. I could be wrong but that's how it was explained to me.

 

installed motorless hideaway plates from AM... easy installation and does the job well... i have lowered the car by 1 1/2 inch still it has good clearance...
