Someone had posted long ago. I think it may have been the new splitter that was in the way. Don't hold me to it though.

I noticed earlier in the thread some members were talking about covering up the holes left over from the plate bracket. I'm sure others have used similar methods to cover up the holes, but I thought I'd post what I did.

My car came from out of state from an area with front plates. I picked up some body retainers from O'reilly Auto Parts, part number 456890, some factory performance white, and a can of clearcoat. The retainers were $2.49. The paint was around 7 bucks a can.

First I carefully Dremeled the edges of the holes in the bumper where it was pooched up from the self-tapping screws so it was totally flat, and I touched it up so water couldn't get under the bumper paint.

I scuffed the parts store retainers with red scotchbrite and put 4 light coats of color and 2 coats of clear and let them dry. It's a spot on match for the car's color. They just pop right in and stay on their own. I still need to run some compound on the bumper where the bracket scuffed the paint a little, but it should polish right out.

It doesn't make the holes go away, but it's way better than it was and is a pretty cheap and easy fix.

Ha...great excuse, may have to steal that.

I plan on ordering the motorized one this weekend. This way if I get pulled over i'll just hit the button and pop it up at that time. But officer, there should be a plate there!!

Can someone with a '13 post some pics of under the front bumper? Be nice to get a look at mounting options. Also, measure the clearance?

Without reading through this entire thread, can someone tell me where I can find a plain Jane front license plate bracket? I don't really need or want a flip up bracket. I just want to be legal.

After driving my Shelby for 1 1/2 years with the front plate held on with zip ties, I finally bought a hide away holder and had it installed yesterday.

Now you see it

Now you don't

Required in my state, but I leave it off. I don't ever get pulled over for it. I leave mine in the trunk with the stock bracket/bolts just in case.

Nice! I always debated those. My question is how do they hold up at highway speeds? Do they flop around?

Hmmm, I didn't know there was a non-electronic one. That's a pretty good price. I think I'd have to go electronic, though, for those "police activity" moments.

Not my car and my product but it looks to be an ideal "no drilling required" solution.

This is a great looking bracket... who is making this?
