Lol, not at all. I honestly thought all of them had it since the S550 came out. Could have sworn I remember them adding that after all the *****ing about it for decades.

No doubt. I couldn't believe it when you mentioned it, my first thought was that something happened to yours already and was going to be replaced. Still think it's stupid as hell to put it on one single model. If you've done the r and d and the tooling and the addition to the assembly line, why not put it on all of them?

Mine just has one on the passenger side where the strut tower brace is.
The Bolt hole and the the clip to hold the prop rod are there in the pictures. Lower picture between the hood pin and the hood bumper is the bolt and the guide hole for the prop rod and look on the right center above where it says "Carbon" in the Carbon Fiber Composite and the holding clip is there. Darrens just didn't have that over the Blower strut mount the GT500 has.
my baby strutting her stuff (but still need actual hood struts) at the local friday night gathering. The 80 Firebird Esprit parked beside me brought back lots of memories. It's all original, including paint and interior. No bondo filler. Just very well preserved. I had a '78 Trans Am and then an '81 Trans Am when i was in my late teens, early 20's.

Yup, could not agree more on this one! Awesome car you have there Darren! Love it!
*EDIT* I Really thought Ford had added the hood strut to the newer S550s. That just seems like something that they should at least put on the special edition cars, and maybe the premium models. How much can it cost them to make it standard on them. Guess the GT500 is special (and costly $$$$) enough to warrant the upgrade. Yup that is a required update Darren, Gotta have it.

Despite the forest fire smoke, a few dedicated Mustang enthusiasts showed up to Freedom Ford in Edmonton for the annual show. Coffee, donuts and silent auctions. At around 1pm the humidity and smoke got to me so i came home. Snapped over 70 photos which are amalgamated at the bottom. But here are a few closeup favorites first...
Some great looking cars there. Yours is the best looking one hands down. I was confused about the GT 500 next to you when I saw the under hood was white before I figured out it was wrapped. Either way, if I was at a show like that and you parked next to mine, I'd probably move somewhere else to avoid embarrassment of everyone drooling over yours

wow that is a serious compliment! I'm blushing! As for the wrapped GT500, yes indeed. he wrapped it himself. He has set up shop here in Edmonton. His track pack is stunning! The black wrap is actually a blue grey. you can see a tinge of blue under certain light. He talked about wrapping my mach 1 but NO thanks lol! I'd consider something maybe for my explorer, but honestly it's not really my thing. His kids had those little electric mustang and were bombing around the show. too cute and honestly everyone wanted pics with those toys
The assortment of classics was amazing and some of those were for sale, including the classic red GT500. Many different generations of Mustangs were represented which as good to see. If the smoke wasn't such an issue, we would have seen a much greater turnout.

Looks like there was a great turnout despite the conditions from the wildfires... Meanwhile, glad the weather conditions permitted so many Mustang enthusiasts to bring out their rides to the annual show event and enjoy getting together with one another... Thanks for sharing.
I am thinking about getting the mach premium seats to replace the Recaros. Preferably with the heat/cooling. Not loving the recaros unfortunately. Anybody know anyone who has done such a swap in an s550?
