yep i just finished installing the flap. I was referring to them as jetliner grey originally, then jet fighter grey now fighter jet grey. regardless I lOVE the color especially after ceramic coating!
Ford Will Use The Same Color Code on Different Models and Use a Different Name For a Particular Vehicle. It's Just Marketing Strategy!
I absolutely love it. Fantastic car. And I know what you mean by the tramlining.

I put the Gurney flap on mine, but haven't decided yet on the front splitter wickers that go vertical yet. Still in the trunk

Yes they do. That looks a lot like some of the other colors like avalanche gray on the early 350s in 16. Didn't they have a fighter jet gray too? About the same?

Yes indeed, just as Ford had with Torch Red and Colorado Red, same color code with just different name... 2007-09 Shelby GT500 (Colorado Red) 2005-09 Mustang (Torch Red)
Ok Trivia Fans You Were Talking About the Gurney Flap. Well I Noticed How the Mustang Has the Raised Roof in the Driver & Passenger Area and Lower in the Middle. Perhaps it was an Homage to the Gurney Bubble! Anyway it Makes For a Good Story to Add to the Cars Racing Heritage!

This was the heavy freight truck route so the ruts were really bad in some spots. Add pooling water and michelin cup2's and it was a real challenge. I'm booking massage and chiropractic appointments asap LOL!
Gave her a good wash and vacuum today and she's as good as new. not a single chip. The ceramic coating makes the bugs almost simply rinse off. This configuration of the mach 1 is NOT a road trip car. The recaros and cup2's belong on the track, not on 1000km trips LOL! I'm swapping out the cup2's for 4s's as soon as i can afford them :-)
Tomorrow is oil change day!
here she is cozy in her new home...
Incredible machine!! I saw a similar one last summer in a showroom in WI when we bought our GT. I would give you the link but it's been removed. Your beauty deserves even more, and seeing those bare walls in your garage is killing me. You may not like Ford decor all the place, but if you do, get some shelves for Ford cans and some replica signs (all over ebay). Even these type neon signs (In the middle of all the Sinclair & Mopar stuff) are avaliable 'new' these days.
Enjoy your ride and I found your trip home very interesting as we have been all over Alberta in our old '07 GT/CS, from Banff to Jasper and along the Icefields Pkwy. Here is one link from years back if interested at all. The beginning is the best part as the thread got derailed real bad later. https://themustangsource.com/forums/...538947/index3/

Thank you! This house is new so it needs alot of personalization still. Just finished installing the yard and landscaping. My garage is 850 sq ft with 18 foot ceilings in the RV section. A great canvas to play with for sure! The floor and drain are ideal for washing the car inside with tons of room. Potential for a 4 post hoist in the future too.
For my trip home I had to go through Banff as the Jasper route was closed due to wildfires. We have alot of road work going on throughout the whole route. Was hoping to do a video log but honestly the weather was so crappy i couldn't. Can't complain about the rain because our fire fighters definitely need it!
