I am patiently awaiting my 2023 Mach1 in jetliner grey with elite and handling package. Also a 10 spd auto, recaros and rear seat delete. I had originally wanted to order a red one with stick and all the other goodies but decided to go with one already nearby and fully optioned except with an auto. Since I currently have the 10 spd auto in my GT, I don't mind staying with that. The grey has grown on me after seeing pictures of my actual car. I just watched Leno's garage review on my exact model last night so I have no regrets on the color or the auto. Gurney flap will be installed before they ceramic coat her next week. what do yall think? (she's bit dirty in the pic lol) Massive tires! 305 and 315's

Saw your reply in the other thread about the tires. Awesome man, really happy for you! I love the Mach 1, first one I saw in person was about 6 months ago. It came on the same truck when my 22 500 was delivered and I loved it, beautiful car.

Don't know much about the packages on it, but it was dark matter gray iirc, almost black when inside. I looked at it a little, but I was kinda preoccupied with mine after waiting a year for it to come in lol.

 

Thank you Lee. I am closing in on retirement, and wanted something special but the Gt500's remain a tad expensive for me considering other priorities. I am beyond excited. It's basically a culmination of coyote + shelby parts combined nicely into a pretty package with some exclusivity.
I haven't been on here for quite some time. Moved to Alberta, new house and some health problems have limited my car enthusiasm. Now that everything is settled I can enjoy smiles per mile again. Another part of my decision was based on the upcoming model change again which apparently will only allow Ford approved tunes. I don't do first year models and the s550 has really matured nicely.

I know what you mean, the 500s are really steep, but so is everything now. I waffled a couple times before I ordered, was looking for ultra low miles (triple digit) 13-14 500s and they weren't that much less than a new one so I gave in and did it. Made that mistake when I bought that Vista blue 08 Shelby GT (if you remember it) instead of spending a little more for a 500. Ended up trading it for that black 11 500 anyway, lesson learned.

I actually wouldn't have bought this one if it hadn't been for finally finding a dealer that was willing to take what I was prepared to pay. And it was still a hard pill to swallow, it was almost double what I've ever paid for any car in my life. Figured it'll be the last one of them that ain't some electric crap, and likely the last new one I'll ever buy so screw it.

Don't feel obligated to answer, but I'm just curious because I never got to see the sticker on the Mach I saw. If you don't mind sharing, what was the MSRP on a car like yours? Because I loved the one I saw and it was really nice.

 

Congrats on the new Mach1... Personally, I'd much rather have the Mach1 over the upcoming S650 Dark Horse... In my opinion, the 2023 Mach1 offers the better bang for the buck performance and better overall styling over the redesigned S650, to begin with anyhow. Therefore, if the GT500 is a tad bit too expensive, then you sure can't go wrong in settling for the Mach1 as an alternative lol...

In the meantime, also congrats on your upcoming retirement as well.

Wow! Don't know what that coverts to in US market cars, haven't looked at them but I assume it's much less here. I can post a sticker on mine, but I don't want to clutter your thread unless you want to see it.

 

That's up to you i'd like to see it, but in contrast, the GT500's around here are 140-170k. I think the Mach's in USA are around 63k + USD. The cdn dollar ain't too strong right now either. My particular deal is probably better than most however ;-)

 

My particular deal was the same way, only reason I bought it. Said I'd never pay more than MSRP, but I ran into a wall with this one, so I decided I'd go 5k over. Nobody would come close, keep in mind this was 21 when ordering and things were crazy. Nobody would get close to that in the country, talked to people everywhere. Finally came across a small dealer that would do it. Ordered, made the deal and waited. And waited. While I was waiting, the base price from Ford went up about 3k or something, but they honored the deal we made. Still stuck in my craw because I'd never even paid MSRP for a car, paying more was sacrilege, lol.

 

Wow, that's an amazing deal compared to nowadays up in Canada, even after the exchange rate (+30%). There's 2 nearby. Tech pack for 146k (black) and a carbon edition for 170 (orange).

Heck, $2600 of my total sticker was the stupid gas guzzler tax.


Out the door, with the mark-up and all the taxes and fees and crap was $95k

 

But I'm super happy for you getting this car that you've wanted, you deserve it. It's an amazing Mustang. Heck, I might have to get one of those too, dang I love it.

 

haha yes and i may just have to get a GT500 AFTER i retire, at least before it becomes illegal to drive such beasts. Up here in Edmonton Alberta we have several tracks not far, including a strip and an oval.
With my new house I have an 850 sq ft garage with 18'ft ceiling including RV bay, so i'm mischieviously thinking of a hoist at some point

Just curious, was yours ordered with a cover? Was wondering if it's like the one I ordered with mine.

 

it did have a cover option but I'm getting ceramic coating instead. Decided to get a cover later.

 

I was just curious, I was pleasantly surprised with mine. Much higher quality than the one that came with the 11. Really heavy and super soft, fits like a glove and matches the color of the car perfectly. It's got Shelby across the windshield and a giant Cobra logo and GT500 on the quarter panels in white like the stripes.


I won't be using it outside, basically just as a dust çover in the garage. The last one came in the trunk with the car, took a few months for this one to come in.
