That'll either work or strip your ratchet.
I've never met a head bolt that could stand up to a 1/2" x 24" breaker bar.

a pipe on the ratchet would work (id only do it with a craftsman though) and a breaker bar should for sure work

Pipe it I do. Works great. Only broke one rachet ever doing that. It was not a Craftsman.

i cant find the **** thing, somewhere in the garage

plus ive heard you can mess up the torque wrench by using it for taking things apart....
