You guys up in California must have it up to there with all that smog legal stuff, ain't happening here. They just don't care if you pollute or not....That must be why our Prime Minister didn't meet half of what we were suppose to do with the Kyoto protocol or whatever you wanna call it...

disconnected every single spark plug wire, one by one, and reattatched them firmly. Car runs fine now
Cant drive just yet, left rear tire flatter than keira knightley. Spent yesterday cleaning up the tenholes, want to get some 15" tires back there, maybe today...

Hehehe
Guess who's getting new tires
They have to be ordered in, but Goodyear Eagle Nascars, with the raised white letters
235/60/R15 in the rear
205/65/R15 in the front
All on Fox ten holes

Glad to hear the solution was as simple as loose(?) sparkplug wiring.
Fox 10-holes, huh? Iiiiinteressssting... Want to see how that turns out. BTW, are the offsets similar? Also wouldn't mind seeing how 87-90 GT "turbine" wheels would look as well...

Offsets are the same, and they are very useable on IIs. Some other people have done it, but there are a few restrictions, because the backspacing i believe is off a bit.
In the front 205 is as wide as you'll get without rubbage, and thats with a profile of 60. my fronts will be 65 so i MAY be rubbing a bit, but i want the white letters, and they only come in 205/65 on a 15" wheel
In the back the general rule is not to get wider than 235 on a fox whel. I've seen as high as 70 for the profile, but 60 is what alot of other guys on stanget are running.
I'd love a set of turbines over the crapily spraypainted 10 holes i have (i picked em up for $50, cant complain) but its nothing a bit of steel wool, and a lot of hours can't fix lol. tires have to be ordered, and wont be at shop til thursday, so i should be able to clean em up relatively wellish.
Best part is, even when i do my 5lug conversion someday, I still plan on 15" wheels. So if i manage to raise enough cash really soon, i could reuse the tires lol. and since my commute is about 8 miles a day (total) i dont think i'll be racking up much on those treads.
And i'm also glad the solution was so simple. Scared the hell out of me for a while lol, before it donned on me to check em all.
*sigh* what a day

awesome arin, can't wait to see the car with the 10-hole wheels and new tires.
Atleast with your current rear end the only tire that will be in need of constant replacment is the right rear.

lol very funny
Thats the number one thing I am looking forward to at the moment: tires.
I want to drive Fiona. I need it. Everything else has gone to hell, but my baby's still here

Kinda update:
Eagle NASCAR will be on the front only, because they can only find it, with raised white letters, in the fronts size i want (205/65/R15)
For the back, it will be the aforementioned size (235/60/R15) but Eagle GT II, raised white letters
I know it won't match perfectly, but hey, its still gonna be pretty sweet IMO.

Dunno when they are coming in. Goodyear doesn't keep em in stock at all times. For the time being I've just used an electric pump to keep Fiona's tires relatively inflated. Sure, they deflate daily, but it beats her sitting flat and looking sad.
Man.. V8 power rocks. Too bad my open exhaust kills my backpressure

Really? I always read that you need at least a little, as it helps out your torque levels
Maybe its just the tranny.... Because there are times where I mash the throttle and feel nothing. I should probably start manually shifting more often

read this for backpressure details.

I see... Then it must be the shifting. Definately going to play with that next time I take her for a spin.
I still want some mufflers though. I'll figure this out eventually....

That is something i taught about with the raised letters, i just bought 4 new BF Goodrich T/A's for my Mach1, and it seems that most people do put the raised letters showing...i'll probably end up doing the same thing...I'll get use to it...it would look plain ugly on my five OH, but on a vintage....
