why hasnt anything gone right with this project so far?
on a possibly related note... we are reading dantes inferno in english. today on the page with the inscription of the gates of hell, my pen decides to spew green ink all over. i grab a sheet of binder paper and cover it quickly and it soaks up the ink. i lift the paper... what do i see?? the silhoute of a hand giving me the finger. ive definately ****ed the wrong divine powers off
i showed it to my friends and they definatly thing its a bad omen that an ink spill came in the shape of "the finger" on the page about entering hell. what a day
this pretty much goes along with everything going wrong in my life: relationship, school is getting worse, my car isnt home, illness in the fam and with friends. the fates must be thinking "oh well hes gone this far already, might as well send him to hell!"

alright, found out yesterday, there was ahole in my radiator!!!! although, this explains alot lol so a new one is being shipped in/installed today.
motor runs fine so far. finally some good news
passenger side headers fit. drivers? BAH!!! starter and other stuff in the way. needs to be taken to a muffler joint and fixed (hacked and rewelded). at the muffler shop it will also be getting new cats and piping, still keeping the sidepipes and glasspacks, but all the tubing will be new.
they havent found the yolk for the AOD trans yet. the guys at the shop didnt kno the ford AOD was used in other cars. they searched for a 1993 mustang GT auto yolk and couldnt find it (seems odfd, those cars are all over, as are parts) so i told them it was in just about all RWD fords prior to about 1993ish. i think it was essentially used until 4.6Ls came into the picture for all RWD fords. then after the intro of the mod motor they moved up to the AODE.
so thats my update for now.i cant wait to get my baby back

1. goto vintage-mustang.com and search for the AOD SWAP tones of info youll need !
2.) also the 8 inch will be fine ( unless its worn slap out ) goto vintage-mustang.com searh for user fast500xl he rebuilds thousands of rearends for members and can give you any info needed , plus there are tons of people in cali that would be willing to help you!
3.) if you dont have a intake for that clevland head plan yet! START LOOKING B@A used to make them THEY ARE NOT MADE anymore so start saving and looking, ( id go with the b@a street boss intake !
hope this helps!

thanks!
although im really not sure if the boss-style cleveland setup is gonna happen anymore. its soooo hard to fit it all under the hood of a II. as for the AOD, its already in there
needed to open up the trans tunnel a bit, but it fits now
thats the hot-rodder way right? if it dont fir MAKE IT fit.
I think i'll be keeping the 8inch for a while, if i ever upgrade, i'll get myself an 8.8" out of a latemodel.
as for my motor build as a whole, once i get it back, i'll be starting something reaaallly out there. I still have that blower i bought for the V6 yoou know.. and my friends are teaching me how to weld
with a few adaptor plates, pulleys and belts, you'll all be in for a little surprise
its amazing what one can do with some adaptor plates, brackets, and an EFI blower rotated 90* hehehehe

its great to see young hot rodders having fun , let me dig thru my pics and see i can find one, i have a pic of 2 blowers of 3.8 ford v-6 motors bolted onto a ford 351 windsor! 2 on the same motor!
and i wouldent go 8.8 !!
why do you see all the dragsters using 9 inch fords? and nascars?
and remeber that drag racing is the most POWERFUL motor sport on wheels ( some makeing closer to 5,000 H.P.)
go nine

well either way, my 8" will be there for a while
and as for the blower, its from a Fuel Injected 2.9L. the motor used in bronco IIs and Rangers. its a one of a kind unit. it was a prototype for a now defunct aftermarket company, who's name i cant remember.... this was the only one ever built so i'll have to a teency bit of modifying to make it all fit
and those two blowers (Eaton M90s... i think thats waht ford used on the 3.8) on ONE 351W??? that sounds pretty cool if you ask me

CARB
CARB-BLOWER ADAPTOR PLATE
BLOWER
BLOWER TO INTAKE ADAPTER PLATE, WITH STRUCTURAL BRACCKET FOR BLOWER
INTAKE
and you know the rest from there. this may take alot of time tho. i need the car back to take some measurements

heres a "top view" of the blower if it were still being used on the EFI V6... which its not.
now pretend its a side view, that T/B is a carb, and the bottom goes into the intake.
thats pretty much where i want to be
btw sorry for quality, its a camera fone pic

well another update.
the car is finally almost done.
havent we all heard that one before?
so the only thing left is to have the drivers side header modified and the new cats/sidepipes put in (keeping the same old glasspacks tho *drool*) that all has to be done at a muffler shop. so my car should be done monday. finnnnaallly
and about the blower... well... im about $4K in the hole, probably more, so i guess the blower is being put back on my parts shelf once again
oh the joy of restoring a car lol
but from what i hear, the mechanics think its a beastly car now, and my uncle said they've accidentally burned some rubber. i better be extra careful when i get it back. although... ive been preparing for a high performance car by driving my moms 323i autostick and my dad's x3 autostick. those two at least have the manual shifting capabilities of my stang (B&M shifter will let me cycle the gears manualls) and have some nice acceration. driving the mazda seems soooooooooooo boring by comparison
either way... i cant wait
i want to have the sexiest car in the parking lot again

well according to wikipedia
that was before the performer RPM intake, 4bbl carb, headers and the all new exhaust system. BUT i am getting all new catalytic converters, so that may steal some ponies
im gonna conservatively guess 250hp, 325lbft. andy horsepower calculation experts are WELCOME to verify or disprove my calculations.
maybe i'll dyno it....
also... this motor is out of a lincoln continental mark VII CIRCA 1991. im assuming it had similar power levels. again, if anyone can verify that, it would be appreciated
In 1987, the Mustang got cylinder heads almost identical to the ones on the '85 GT, and a higher horsepower intake manifold, and ratings jumped to 225 horsepower and 300 lbf.ft torque.

forgot to ad: the custom hoods i mentioned earlier on probably arent happening. a hole had to be cut, under the scoop, to make it functional, bec they were just barely able to shoehorn that V8 in there. i may still go with the boss 429 scoop, so who knows. also...
i saw these vents on a Jeep Granc cherokee of all things, and thought they'd look cool on mine. yes i know, uber ricer, non functional and held on with 3M tape, but i think it would look great!

they're 1/2" tall, 5" wide and available in lengths of 9", 13" and 17"
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...nresults=false
their ABS plastic, so i couldjust prime it, paint it white and slap it on my hood as is.
oh and since my hood paint is crapped out to hell i've also debated just blacking out the whole hood
the other idea i've been throwing around in my head is priming the whole thing flat black or something rat rod esque. like after i remove the rust, fill the holes from the door guards, etc.
i dunno. theres alot to be done, and not much money left to be utilized in the doing. actually... im negative moneys now lol. time for a second job!

feel free to shoot me in the face
drivers headers still dont fit. local shop says they make shorties for the II, which is odd since neither I nor ANY mustang II expert has heard of such and they cant install my **** hedman long tubes!!!
i told them that they have to unbolt the motor and the steering coulumn and install it from below. the motor is OUT of the car and they dont want to. they dont think it will work. sigh.
whats worse is the issue with ym dual exhaust. muffler shop guy says its not lergal for me to have two Cats since V6s had single exuast and cats, EVEN THOUGH my car came standard that way (2cats) and passed smog like that. the guy says i will fial the visual inspection even though i have the diagram of the dual exhaust/cat system in my haynes manual right in front of me.
why cant ANYTHING go right?the god of muscle cars is just ****ing with me now
