Wow, I am finally working on the 76 after along time away. I have been designing the control arms for the front that I am hoping will turn out. I am cutting them out of aluminum. I decided to just go for it and see what happens. I also decided to try to design my own wheels instead of buying the ones I had selected. I finally found wheel shells or hoops, whatever terms anyone want to call them, after alot of searching. I have a supply available for most sizes of rims. These are only the outer rim shells and not the face. They are not cheap but today what is. I will post pics if they work out if not well we will go back to the drawing board I guess.

It is my 1980 308 GTB Ferrari. I have had it for several years. I like such a huge range of cars so my collection is a bit odd. I would love to have a pantera though as they are one of my favorite cars.
I am moving all of my equipment into the new addition. I do machining, full chassis and roll cage bending, wood working and I was running out of room in my original 40 by 48 ft building. My tube Bender which is a Baileigh Industrial Model 350S with a 2 axis table positioner needs alot of room. Currently to bend something I am opening up an over head door and moving the bender 2-5 times to bend pieces and it is taking too long to do that and moving this bender isnt easy as it weighs around 5000 lbs with a die to bend 2 by 3 inch rectangular tubing. The biggest mistake most people make when building a garage or shop is they build it too small and believe it or not this might end up being too small I hope not though but it probably will.. My bender basically needs around 30 ft by 30 ft by itself and then put a 16 ft by 6 ft frame jig and some big machining centers and turning centers and your out of room. I also should add the concrete floor is in floor radiant heat which will be nice and 8 inches thick in 40 by 64 ft for bigger heavier machining equipment and 6 inch thick for the rest. I guess my overall goal is to have a fully equipped shop where I make basically every reasonable part in house. The sad part is this economic down turn isnt helping but I just keep trying.

update: Bought 2 used lifts last week and tomorrow picking up a new Bailiegh Industrial shear. So soon the sheetmetal mods get started. I am also adding more sheetmetal equipment in the very near future. The new shop is with all it's room is making things alot nicer and easier for me. I will be posting pics soon with the progress.
