Hah, I spent more time today looking for parts for my mustang than actually doing anything fun with it. That's what I get for not doing a proper inspection and getting one where the last owner removed the cats, and I need to pass an inspection when I move. Oy vey.

Drove it to work. Second time this week and tomorrow's looking like it's gonna happen again

The boss allows me to park it on the dealership lot, right next to the trailer we work out of. Awesome.

What a nice way to disconnect from the work day ... a nice drive in the 600-horse Mustang

I put the SVT wheels back on today.
They have almost-new front Continental DW 285/40/18 tires and almost-new rear 305/40/18 Nitto 555R's on them.
Much better than 6-year-old Eagle F1's and bald 555R's

And every time I put these wheels back on I realize how much I love the look

Did an oil and filter change on my 2017 GT, its been 11 months and 435 miles. I don't drive her much. the funny thing is my neighbor wanted the used oil for his lawn mowers. I use 5/20 motorcraft semi synthetic. He was joking...

Got the recall finished for the passenger side airbag in my '13 today.
Hoping that it will stop the barrage of recall notices I keep getting in the mail, haha.
Place did a great job, in and out in about an hour and a half, and no damage to the dash.

That's all you and the biggest concern would just be are you ok going from a V8 to a 4.

Definitely.
I'm sure that eco boost is faster, quieter, safer, more comfortable, and gets better gas mileage. But there is nothing like the fat torque of a v8. My wife has a Mazdaspeed 3, and that thing is a little dart, extremely quick, handles like a scalpel. But waiting for the boost, and it running out of steam in higher RPMs... there really is no replacement for displacement. I say drive the EcoBoost, put it through its paces on some highway pulls, some back roads if you can. Do the same sorts of things you'd do with your V8 and see if it's as satisfying. Few of us really use all the power these cars have, so it's really about what it's like to drive. Most new cars for me are too numb, which is why my 06 is perfect for me, even if it's slower.

And the new EcoBoost means a new car payment too

They didn't make many 2009 Mustangs to begin with. If I remember right its some where in the 40K range total of all models together, which in time will probably make them one of the hardest to find in future years. 2009 GT there were round 10.5K / 10,600 made? Ya it wasn't many n how many are still left today. Just for some insight on production numbers 2001 GT there was little less then 27K made, 2003 GT there wee 26+K made, 2005 GT 47K made, 2006 GT they made 46+K, ...so if you want to keep it for this then cool. Though the newer ecoboost Mustangs are pretty nice n you can get good power out of them. Newer nice looking Eco-boost Mustang or keep the V8 2009 GT. This is up to you n you only.

I took mine for a spirited drive through the local hillside. Blended right into the autumn scenery.

Walked by it.
As of a couple days ago it's now on life support. The battery is hooked up to the battery tender and it's just sitting in the garage.
The snow blower is now ready for work.
