My DD tail light sequencers and new fog lights came today! Also shipped out the bigger Air Lift tank yesterday so hopefully the 2.5 gallon will be on its way soon, and I'll finally get to start the bag install

Oh and I ordered the Cooper RS3-S 255/35 and 275/35/20 today, to replace my current 265/35 and 305/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sports, which were just too wide on my wheels, with the offset I went with. Rubbing all inside the rear fenders and I wouldn't be able to tuck with the bags. Downsizing and hopefully I'll make back some money on them.

I'm in LA, I don't see how you guys can do it. I can't imagine putting my baby up for the winter.

My car hit 40,000 last night coming home from a concert in Atlanta. Pulled in the garage with 40000.2 miles.

Been away for a while dealing with the car's various issues. Had a brake failure during my speed run a month ago (though I didn't realize it until after I'd finished the run and my front right locked up at about 5mph). Had to tow it back to San Antonio and the trailer damaged the splitter so I'm having to replace that as well as the rotor and caliper on the right side.

Been a frustrating month, but despite the caliper resting on the rotor through the run I reached 207 before I shut it down. I was nervous about how the new rear tires would handle the speeds, broke my glasses right before I put my helmet on, the camera fell on the floor as I started the run, etc. Not the smoothest experience, but one hell of a blast.

Went with Bridgestone's new Potenza S007's on the rear for the run and they worked well enough. They're not competition tires but they'll do for the street. Need to change out the oil, supercharger oil, brake fluid, move the tires to the Trueforged wheels, sell the 20" wheels I have and get a set of 18" racing wheels for track duty. Lots to do this Winter.

Yeah,...that sucks about the set backs.
Congrats on topping over 200 MPH though. That is very impressive. Do you think the car still had more in her?

Head wind of 15mph, temps above 85, uphill the last six miles and a caliper rubbing the whole way, yeah I could have gotten more from it but not a whole lot. I think it probably tops out at 215 limited by the 3.08 gears. Longer gears, better conditions, it would probably reach 215. Had plenty of power.

It'll be a bit, but thanks. I did get a new license plate for it though:

Checked out the green machine in the garage as I put away the recycled stuff. I got my "proof of payment" from my credit union as well today. All squared away. Just waiting for my title to arrive.

Started wondering if it was time to change the oil. I'd done less than 3000 mi on the old stuff, but I couldn't remember exactly when I changed it last. Then I looked at the extra bottle of 5W20 I had left over from the last service and realized I'd written 3/21/15 on it...yeah 6 months...time for a change. Did an oil change on Saturday. Exciting stuff, I know. Stay tuned for the next installment, where I clean the air filter!

I've been researching some big engine upgrades lately, been talking to a shop about an N/A setup vs Roots vs Centrifugal superchargers. So many things to weigh in. Right now I'm looking at the N/A, which'd include:
  • Ford Racing 62 mm Throttle Body
  • Ford Racing Intake Plenum
  • Cams (TBD)
  • JBA ceramic Long Tube Headers
  • Underdrive Pulley

I've been doing a lot of reading on cams, including an extensive thread over on another forum. How much lift? Lobe Separation? Duration? Where to shift the torque vs HP in the power band? Upgrade the springs too? I think my head's gonna explode

Yeah,....your head will explode for sure. I'm always reading about stuff and learning. So much to know and learn about.
I think if you go N/A, the mods you have listed should be killer. Just do your "research" and get the best mods that suit your specific need. I've often though about getting a nice Fox body car in the past and building a nice strong N/A engine and all supporting mods as well.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Received my Bob's Ultimate Hose upgrade kit for my Air Oil Separator. Finally can get rid of those ugly cheap hoses and clamps, replacing them with quality AN fittings and braided hoses.
