You're telling me! It's insane! The company is practically at a price war with another supermarket chain, and they opened a store this past Thursday (the other store nearby chain). Even the vice-president of Wall Mart PR went to that store to check it out. We're winning so far.

It's getting ugly I can assure you. The 2 liter bottle of CocaCola was originally put on sale by the competition @ 65 cents, then we matched it, and then afterwards it was lowered to 50c, then yesterday was lowered even more to 47c and the competition lowered it even more, to 39c!!! and due to the "Dare to compare" program the customer can have it for the same price as the competition. That's just only 1 of the many items in the blowout sale. Others are; tomato sauce, eggs, chicken, to name a few.

Don't get me started on price wars within the food industry...... I've been in them for 10 years. And ironically enough, people are still starving.

I've been for 5 yrs and it's driving me crazy! And it's truly sad. I remember that on the first year I worked there, when the store was still owned by the locals, partially damaged, but in good condition food was donated to local non profit organizations, until the greedy basterds ow WM came and removed the program.
