No love for dedicated pix of the trucks?

The first that really strikes me about the truck is this - It's huge! I could like lay across the seat and not touch the doors lol

LOL I wouldn't be surprised . The shifter ball is going to have wear in the future anyway, so it's not that big of a deal if it has a few minor scratches.

Thanks guys. Yeah I like it a lot, the only other shifter I would've considered is the MGW. I didn't want to post a picture of it until the boot adapter was on, which is why it took so long for me to do so.

They are big. And the bed is even bigger. 8' long!!! Does it have a spray in bedliner, a plastic bedliner, a rubber mat, or is it just the scratched up paint. Back in the day most bedliners were plastic and water would build up underneath them and rust the bed out. It took a few years but FYI.

The MGW is a great shifter. But it doesn't have the looks of the Hurst. Hopefully your Hurst Billet shifter is better than my Hurst Competition shifter was.

Mine was a short bed. But it did have a bedliner, but it was never driven in the rain. It was a ***** cat.

My parents both said it is notchy and very short shifting, but they really like it. We actually took a trip in it down to my uncles house today. We got to toy with a modified black convertible 03/04 Cobra, see a BMW M6, a Bentley Continental, and a 60's Rolls Royce(BEAUTIFUL car).

What was wrong with your Hurst?

Currently, it's got a plastic bedliner, it's got rust under it, I already know it. How bad is the question...

I liked the notchiness. The shifter was fine. But the spherical bearing inside was crap. The shifter began to rattle after a short time from the inside, and you could pull up on it about 1/8" and later it got worse. It was a known problem to Hurst shifters at that time.

I could have taken it apart and fixed it myself, returned it, which I should have done, or throw it in the attic and swear never to buy anymore Hurst crap again and just end it and get the MGW.

Then from what I hear they fixed the problem pretty quickly and subsequent shifters were fine.

Don't sweat it, my uncle bought a new Ford truck for the farm in the early 70's, and by the early 90's it had holes in the bed big enough to throw a cat through, it was still running strong though.

Nathan...do you live near Worthington, Minnesota? Or have you ever heard of it?

The Worthington Turkey is coming down to our neck of the woods to race 'Ruby Begonia' our turkey in Cuero for the Turkeyfest. lol

37th Annual Cuero Turkeyfest will be held on October 9, 10, & 11 in 2009!

What do "Turkeys" have to do with it? Cuero Turkeyfest is a celebration of which the North Star, Worthington, Minnesota and the Lone Star, Cuero, Texas come together for the 2nd heat of a friendly rivalry of the GREAT GOBBLER GALLOP.

My brothers '81 F100 step side had a wood bed floor? A motherf***ing WOOD bed. He owned that truck 19 years. After 15 years he replaced the bed. BTW he traded it in a Chevy that he got sick of in a year.

Dude. I make the jokes because I can sympathize. I wan't being uppity. I was just talking about my relatives.

My family is so redneck I'm the first one to graduate college.

I was born on a farm that had an outhouse on the back porch and no bathroom in the house.

20 years and there was a cat sized hole... My trucks 18, maybe it's only kitten sized?

Actually our turkey usually loses. So we can't even breed a decent running bird.
