Sorry to hear that Willie! My company is also looking at downsizing and we were told that we are still here because we made money! But now we need to make even more or else...

aerospace and defense manufacturing .. we make a lot of military jet fighter stuff ..just of late we spent a fortune tooling up for a huge titanium project and we failed miserably letting some of our base customers slip away ..our machines are too old to hold such close tolerances .. I work in shipping and receiving ..

I'm sorry to hear that. I went through a similar thing in 2008, after which we were acquired by a large national company and we thought thank goodness now we're financially safe. But after about 18 months later in early 2010 they began to send in their own people from other plants and offices and most of us were let go.
I was lucky enough to use my severance period as a long vacation and went right back to work for one of their competitors however I did have to move out of state due to the severance agreement. Never, ever wanted to move but it's been great for our immediate family and I make more now than I did then so for now we couldn't be happier.
Moral is keep your chin up.

I just honestly don't know how this one parking lot can be so consistent with terrible parking.

Not all females can't drive......or park! We have retail space, a nail place, a sub shop, and a bagel place on the lower level, so there are people in and out all day. Last week I watched some old lady sideswipe the car next to her while trying to park

Have some experience with that, do ya?
This happens every day here. I'll never understand it.
