Mother Nature can suck it. We got about 20", followed by rain, then sleet and now round two is coming through and already dropped another 3-4" and it's still coming down

What a day. Stupid **** snow. Finally got the HVAC running right last night, decided to go to bed, woke up about 5:30 and thought "**** its quiet".
Then I realized my luck with the falling trees had run out. No power. Which means no heat. Nothing I could do, so I napped for a couple more hours. Finally got up, went out for a smoke, took a few pics and looked around to see what all was screwed up.
Trees down everywhere, across the road, in the woods, limbs strewn about. But the sky was about as blue as I've ever seen it, so clear and crisp and so quiet outside. Only sounds you could hear was cracking from trees, and lumps of snow falling out of them.
By then everyone else was up and it was starting to get a little chilly in the house so we all piled up in the bed with a couple extra blankets and read for a while. It was really nice, makes you realize how much important little stuff you miss when you're distracted by gadgets and gizmos all the time.
Finally got power back on a little bit ago, which really surprised me. I was figuring several days with the way it usually goes here, especially with the mass outages in the southern part of the state (about 500,000 people out down there) and resources being shifted that way.
