yeah deployments are getting cut like crazy I have several friends that have been cut from deployments this year and I have a friend that is in the unit I am going over there to replace so that's cool

You know, I don't think there will ever be anyone in my lifetime that can top what he has done in a FC. The race wins, the round wins, the championships, etc. He is the Richard Petty of drag racing. At this point, he IS the face of NHRA. Hell, people I'm around that aren't even diehard racing fans (even little old ladies like my grand mother) know who John Force is. That's pretty impressive.

I'm always amazed at the people that say "well, they only go in a straight line, its no big deal, its not like there is any skill involved". Really? Let me strap your *** down in a tube chassis with a 10K horsepower engine that is literally a timebomb waiting to go off between your legs, and then you stand on the loud pedal while it accelerates to 300+ mph in around 4 seconds. Then tell me it doesn't take some skill (and a huge set of *****) to keep that ****er under control and off the wall. Oh yeah, and do that when you're in your 60's and should be sitting on a beach somewhere.

Right - not to mention knowing what to do when things go wrong. And Funny Car's are so squirrelly anyway with the same HP as the rails.
