Nice....but too bad he doesn't drive it. Might as well put coasters on it if it's going to be furniture....

He's thinking of selling it. He has his '04 Mach 1 that he drives all the time.

Well it should be worth quite a bit and should be an easy sale up there....if OweMalley hasn't taxed everyone's disposable income to death yet....

Since the valve train on the 4.6 is still black magic and voodoo to me, how can you tell if a lash adjuster is bad

There is no lash adjuster....What is the problem, or what are you hearing? Typically the guides for the timing chain wear and can cause a ticking noise that sounds like a collapsed lifter....what happens is the nylon wears through and the tensioner "ticks" as it hits the chain now exposed on the other side of the guide. Otherwise you could have a collapsed lifter or a roller came follower come apart(very rare). I've seen other issues here and there but those are the most common.

Got a ticking noise that comes in at around 1700 rpm and goes away at about 3500 rpm

I wouldn't mind either but I'm still all broken up from it when I was younger. Don't heal the way I used to. I can still skate but don't have the nerves to try many tricks anymore. Lately I've been shopping for a cool beach cruiser. That's more my speed now. Lol. I found a sweet one I'm saving up for.

Have you ruled out an exhaust leak?

Yep this is a mechanical ticking sound, sounds like the motor has solid cams in it

Well it would be odd for more than one lifter to collapse so my buest guestimate is that either you have a chain guide worn out or oil pressure issue to the lifters causing them to tick....

Stupid frogs must have had an orgy after that big storm last night. Went out today before the pump kicked on and there were thousands of frog eggs floating on the surface of the water.

Been looking at longboards too. Was funny, at the tattoo convention in Amsterdam this guy had some rubber trucks for practicing indoors, did a kick flip in my steel toe Dickie's boots first try.

No place to longboard around here. 45 minute drive to a skatepark so I'm slowly converting the back yard into one. I think ill be buying this bad boy soon. Bikes just don't get any cooler.
