That extra three grand is probably the contractors profit. The insurance company expects him to work for nothing.

I looked at the paperwork and they only factored in a profit of 10% which was a whopping $400.

Yeah, someone is going to work a few days long job to make $400

Get real insurance company!

Wasup people? I really need a couple days off to go buy a truck. 2nd day driving the cobra to work. The bugs on the bumper are freaking me out a bit. Ugh.

Anytime I've ever seen an insurance estimate for repairs they always add 10% and that's it. It's a joke. We won't touch a job like that for less than 35%. And usually it's closer to 60%.

That's pretty hot right there. There's a company called New Orleans Guitar company that makes some of the prettiest guitars I've ever seen. Hight dollar but beautiful. If I still played, I would have to buy one. You should check those things out.

I know zero about construction, but even I knew that was a ridiculous amount. Contractors have to eat too. Sheesh

I sure wish you did business in CA. It'd put mind at ease knowing the work was done right.
