They just put a dude into a skin tight, full body latex suit with no openings except for little nostril holes, and are going to leave him in it for an hour or two to see how much he sweats. I'm about to have a freaking panic attack just seeing someone sealed up like that.

Any of y'all ever had pneumonia?
My sister did in her 20's. Thought it was odd because you typically think of older ones getting it. Seems like it was congestion and fever. Sort of like flu. Made her really tired too. I remember hearing once you've had it that its easy to have again.

That is basically the exact thing I've been going through.

Been reading some stuff online and comparing to what happened to me earlier this week, and what I've still got now, and its got me concerned.

Be especially prompt about seeking medical care if you're an older adult or
you smoke, drink excessively, have an injury, are undergoing chemotherapy or
taking medication, such as prednisone, that suppresses your immune system. For
some older adults and people with heart failure or lung ailments, pneumonia can
quickly become a life-threatening condition.

"Smoking. Smoking damages your body's natural defenses against the bacteria and viruses that cause pneumonia."
And I fall right into every single one of these, especially the last sentence with the stuff I used to be involved in when I was younger.
"Exposure to certain chemicals or pollutants. Your risk of developing some uncommon types of pneumonia may be increased if you work in agriculture, in construction or around certain industrial chemicals or animals. Exposure to air pollution or toxic fumes can also contribute to lung inflammation, which makes it harder for the lungs to clear themselves."
Yeah, don't ask.
My Dad quit cigs at 65 after 40 yrs. Was fairly healthy for the next 20 yrs except for a few colon things and then when he was 86 had a nagging cough... finally went to the doc worrying about pneumonia - which it wasn't. But you can guess the rest. He should have gone in sooner - as in right away.

Did your lady ever get you to the clinic? I wouldn't screw around with pneumonia or anything with the lungs. Seriously.

No, I've been getting better every day, not hurting all over, been eager to get out of the house in the sun and fresh air, etc. Feel 100% better than I did, however, my chest is rattling and popping like crazy when I breathe, can't take a deep breath without a lot of pain, when I do cough, not much comes up, throat is sore and neck glands swollen badly, and my temp has actually dropped below normal (which worried me when I read this, although I don't consider myself "older")
"Lower-than-normal body temperature in older people"
I'll give it the weekend with a good dose of whisky and if it doesn't clear out I may have to go see ol' sawbones.

Goddamm Charlie, way to make me feel like I'm gonna die tomorrow. You could at least give me a little encouragement to make it through the weekend so I can have a nice drive in the 500 and some drinks tomorrow night before I drop dead.

Unless something changes, I probably won't be smiling. I just realized how sick I've been. I haven't thought about sex at all in 6 days. Not even a twitch downstairs, haven't even had the desire to touch it.
Yeah, that's a damned record right there. Must be something seriously wrong. Haven't been that disinterested in that region since before I hit puberty.
