I brought in nearly $20,000 in rental, the shop only brought in $10,000 in labor, and they said there wasn't enough to pay the bills. They laid me, a salesman, and a mechanic off.

I do both as Scott mentioned....everything from concours to highly modified. The Restomod's seem to always out number the stock restorations....of course those are the really fun ones anyway. I got called down to another shop yesterday to help them with a stock resto on a '70 Boss 302...

If I had the money, I'd ship my notch down to AL, and have you go all out on it.

Hey, look on the bright side. It may be a really short lay off, think about how much equipment people are going to need over the next 6 months to a year to clean up all that damage and rebuild stuff from the tornado. Hell of a lot more damage down there than they thought at first, from Adairsville all the way up into Calhoun.

I think with all my new found free time, I'm gonna permanently mount my tablet in the dash of my car, and pull the trans out of my truck and rebuild it.

Interesting factoid:
The Secret Service, part of the Homeland Security, has a dual role as the chief protective service for the president and as an authority to police the nation’s financial infrastructure.
Created in 1865 to combat counterfeit currency, the agency began providing part-time protection for the president in 1894. In 1902, the agency assumed full-time responsibility for protecting the president.
