One thing I love about 4X4 trucks is not having to jack them up to work under them. Got the transmission pulled out of my Z71, now to wait on my tax return to get it rebuilt. Tomorrow probably gonna sand it down and get it ready to paint.

You could tell it was right on the edge and fighting for traction when you matted it at 60, even in 4th gear. That cold air is like meth for these cars.

Beef is grilled. Pork is barbecue. Same pit.

I'm just giving you a hard time. Here in the deep South pork is king when it comes to bbq. I like brisket, and most places make it, but its nowhere near as popular as pork. Down here, pulled pork is top of the heap for bbq, the shoulder is what most people eat, most of it is what is referred to as Boston butt, which is actually the top half of the front leg, not the rear as you would think. Actually the shoulder is two parts, the top half is called the butt and the lower half is called the picnic. Most places just do the butt, but some do the whole shoulder, picnic and butt and then pull it all and mix it together.

Looks good, which smoker did you do it on? How many hours? I think I'm gonna do some pork chops in mine this week if things work out right.

Laugh it up son, that's funny considering you've never had any real bbq yet. Maybe we can feed you some if you ever come down South.

About 11 hours, and in my big one. Also cooked some conecuh and bacon with it lol.

Next time you're in Summerville, stop at Armstrongs BBQ. It's in the middle of town across from the Dollar General.

It's about time to take a trip to the Shed. Worth the drive to Mississippi.

I'll check it out next time I'm down there, I don't get down that way very much, but I'm always up for a bbq road trip.

Yea, use natural wood charcoal and hickory.

Their pork is chopped and has a vinegar based sauce. Out of all the bbq places I've eat at, theirs is the best.

Sounds good to me. My buddy that has the bbq joint has loaded potatoes on the menu that everyone loves (I've never had one, I don't like onions and some of the other stuff that's in them). Its a huge baked potato loaded with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon that they smoke, grilled onions, bell peppers and stuffed with his pulled pork shoulder.

I love BBQ baked potatoes.

A few places around here put shredded pork on a chef salad, you can use BBQ sauce and ranch, really good. I actually like the white BBQ sauce found at some places.
