Well, this Saturday was really busy for me. I started fixing my brother in law's 03 Suzuki Aerio SX at 9:00am and finished it @ 7:00pm. He had an accident about a week ago. He was driving on the highway late at night and he momentarily fell assleep. When he looked up, he was going to the concrete divider and hit the binders, but since the rear drums are well worn out for about a year+, he locked the front tires and the car went a little sideways and hit the concrete with the driver's side tire. Luckily he's OK and nobody got hurt
The carnage took out the axle shaft boot, transmission mount, strut mount, end link, snapped the control arm in half, blew the tire off, cracked the hub cap, mangled the fender and that caused the driver's side door not to open, scratched the bumper and torn side skirt.
I replaced the axle boot, changed the strut mount, control arm, end link, trans. mount and straightened the fender so that the door can be opened. Then had to get out the plastic clips that hold the ground effects to the fender & door. The fender ones were the easiest, but i had to get out the door panel to get the others out. Also the ocasional rains didn't help much But finally it's in running condition again The funny thing was that when i took it for a spin to buy munchies, when i got out to check the tires, the REAR RIGHT ground effect was about to fall off!! I laughed and put it inside the car
