I've gone out with my mom in the past, but never before 8am. It's gotten WAY worse in just the past couple years. There's no way I'd want to go to a store with all those crowds of pathetic people. And there's no way in hell I'd go out on thanksgiving. Last year my mom was listening to a radio show last thanksgiving with people calling in and giving reports of all the morons out shopping and pretty much killing each other of some piece of crap. It was hilarious. I remember years ago when opening up at 5am/6am was a big deal. I also remember the year target gave away a minivan. Now people will just fall for anything just because everyone else wants it. If social psych has taught me anything, it's that crowds of people are very, very stupid and it's best to stay the heck away.

Agreed...in my former life I was a mfg rep selling to stores and christmas was the season we sold for almost all year long....which is why I refuse to go into stores at christmas time let alone on black friday. I always laugh at the idiocy of people fighting over things....I think there were fights in 90% of the Walmarts last year on Black Friday.

There is a saying which is 110% true....the retail public are basically stupid......The general uninformed buying public have no idea as to the games played that they fall for. For example....I used to sell Brass picture frames as one of the 85 companies I represented, Department stores would take a $5 frame, mark it up to $20 and then have a 50% off sale...and the frames would sell like hot cakes. Regular mark up in a retail gift store is to double the cost...so regular retail on that frame was $10...but people saw the 50% off sign and went crazy. I used to sell Christmas cards too and there was a promotional line and a regular line....those cards you see on a table that are discounted are just like those frames....they cost a fraction of what the retail price says so when they are on that table with a sale sign, the store is still making a full markup on that box of cards. I just laugh at how people buy into that thinking they are getting a deal.

The moral to this is to educate yourself and don't fall for the sales tactics

I see certain mustang parts sites doing the exact same thing. Half the time the sale price is the regular price.

Yes, there are also certain larger vendors that try to strong arm the manufacturers into raising their MAP price so that they can make more money on the parts. These companies push ONLY the parts with the most margin and not the best performance....but most people are unaware of this practice...you guys are being deceived based on profit margins and not being sold the "best" product they have to offer simply because they don't make as much money on it.

I will note that margins in auto parts absolutely suck sometimes...it is not a standard markup like it is in the gift/toy industry....it's all over the board.

I ordered a Colgan bra for the 500 today. Even as little as I drive it (about to hit 5K miles in almost 2 years), every time I wash it I find new little nicks and stuff, and on black they stick out like crazy. All that surface area on this front end just catches every little thing that gets kicked up.

Anywhere that is going to get pelted with rocks or smeared with bugs.

I also did rockers (which you can now feel how pitted the film is rather than the rockers themselves), rear fender rockers, strip on fender wells, area on top rear bumper wide as trunk opening so I don't scuff (like I see on many cars), strip on door edges, mirror covers.

Wish I would have done the A pillars and about a 3" strip on the very front of the roof. Sure enough I've got a pit up there.
