I would imagine a lot of states do have very low min wage rates on the books. Now that it is set in Washington it doesn't much matter what the state books say. Yet here in MA ($8) our state min wage is higher than the FED ($7.25)min.

doesn't the cost of living in the location affect it as well?

You would think, but it's not. There's only a few that don't have it right around fed. A couple 4 dollar ones and Kansas is all by themselves at 2 dollars

I don't believe so, Fed says 7.25/hour everywhere. MA says 8/hour.

Now typically people in the northeast for example make more money doing the same job as someone in say Florida. That is how wages relate to cost of living. Wages are lower in FL and so is the cost of living. The cost of living in MA is much higher but so are wages.

Interesting.

I always love those books that list all of the states and their stupid laws that make no sense. Like one state says that if a car meets a horse on the road and the horse is disturbed by it then the owner of said car must disassemble it and hide it in the bushes to the horses satisfaction so that it may pass.

i was watching NatGeo the other day and it was the Navaho Police saying how if they were driving down a road and a coyote crossed their path, they are obligated to turn around and take a diffrent way, it was a traditional rule for them

I think i saw that same thing awhile back. Something about it being the spirit of someone who passed or something to that effect.

Rob a Navajo casino and have coyotes in escape vehicle to release for getaway.
