Fishermen, loggers brawl in Astoria street
ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) -- An argument between fishermen and loggers at an Astoria tavern turned into a street brawl.
Police responded to Annies Uppertown Tavern Saturday night on a report of at least 20 people fighting in the street.
The Daily Astorian reports ( **************/JaNMHn ) the dispute began with a bachelor party in the bar for a group of loggers. They argued with fishermen about which occupation was better and which job paid more money.
The bartender told them to take it outside. The fight broke up when officers arrived. No one was arrested because of what police called "mutual combat."
