Plague confirmed in man who tried to save mouse
BEND, Ore. (AP) -- Oregon health officials have confirmed that a man who tried to save a mouse from the mouth of a stray cat has the plague.
State public health veterinarian Dr. Emilio De Bess says the man was infected when he was bitten by either the stray his family had befriended or the mouse.
The body of the feline is being sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for testing.
The unidentified man, who is in his 50s, remains in critical condition at St. Charles Medical Center-Bend.
His illness marks the fifth case of plague in Oregon since 1995.
More than a dozen people who were in contact with the sick man have been notified and are receiving preventive antibiotics.

REDMOND, Ore. (AP) -- The authorities say a 24-year-old Bend man tried to board a plane with an explosive device.
KTVZ reports that police were called to the Redmond Airport on Thursday to assist Transportation Security Administration screeners.
Redmond police say the explosive device was secured and the man identified as Joseph Seeley was detained for questioning.
Seeley was later cited and released on a misdemeanor charge of possession of an explosive without a license or permit.
Police say it does not appear that Seeley had any intention of causing harm.

Funny you say that.. im parked at the old cobblestone street where our office used to be and theres a row of about a dozen meters. I didnt notice until after i got out of the car (i parked at the last one in that set of meters) but the last 4-5 of them were cut off like the one I posted.

After sitting in traffic from the Yonkers Tolls on 87 all the way to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, seeing a dead dude just laying on a gurney outside the freezer, spending my day with Big Momma Black, having one of the vehicles towed at the Hospital even though we were in the loading zone, my boss taking the keys of the truck I was driving and driving off with them, spending my entire day in a hospital around sick and bloody people, sitting in traffic from Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn all the way up to the exit before the Tappan Zee Bridge. Seeing this is the 2nd greatest thing of my day, now I really want one!

Is it wrong that I asked for and bought my own father's day gift? Told them I wanted to be left alone for the weekend (probably the most wrong part about it, lol). Gave her a wad of cash, a credit card and told her and her sister to take the boys and go to Gatlinburg for the weekend.
