New tarentino movie trailer. It looks decent. I'm not as excited about it as i have been in the past but I'll certainly see it on the principle alone.

Hey Al - sounds like you're working your buns off past few days.

When you get a coffee break check this thread out.

Wouldn't higher oil pressure be OK? Or does too much mess with VCT? Does it hurt seals?
Too little seems to be causing issues - either from failing oil pumps or failing solenoid issues.

Re: part of the VCT thread referred to another site where the engine was filled with filings - they weren't sure if the pump failed, or the VCT solenoid failed/plugged oil ports, but either way think the filings came from the head.

The guy seemed alarmed that camshafts didn't have any bearings.

Is that unusual nowadays in an aluminum head?

I'm not sure about Ford but I had a lot of experience with ohc dodge motors and they don't have them anymore. The cams really don't move much nowadays. Usually just a cap to keep them in place. Yep, asking for a failure.
Still blaming that thin oil though. Lol

Thx! I know they only turn half the rpm's of the crank, and there is a more constant pressure under rotation than say the rods getting slammed.
But with alum being softer it does make you concerned a bit.
