I understand. Its hard to let go, you can't imagine the bond I had with mine without knowing the back story. I honestly don't know who was more conflicted, me or him. I wanted him to proceed into life, but didn't want to let him go, and he was such a homebody that it damned near killed him to go away even though it was only a couple hours away. He called every day for months homesick and wanting to come back, even though education was his passion.

He finally got settled into a new routine and immersed himself in what he loved, and it all worked out. Even though it did cost me a small fortune to make it happen.
