Sorry to burst your bubble! I'm at 35% too. Mines a daily driver and I don't need to be pulled over all the time for tint.
MARYLAND WINDOW TINT LAW ALLOWS THE FOLLOWING DARKNESS FOR CAR WINDOW TINTING
The darkness of tint is measured by (VLT%) Visible Light Transmission percentage. In Maryland window tint law, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed to pass through the combination of film and the factory tint of the window.
Here is what is allowed in Maryland window tint law:
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 5 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows
Must allow more than a total of 35% light in. Transmission through glass.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than a total of 35% light in. Transmission through glass.
Rear Window Must allow more than a total of 35% light in. Transmission through glass.

Takes a lot more than that to scare me off lil lady!
It was the same thing with the jacked up trucks I used to drive. Used to get pulled over so they could nitpick stupid stuff.
I don't know what my percentage is..... I got pulled through a mandatory DUI check point (sober!!) and Bc of my car they nitpicked everything! Said my tint was illegal and tail lights were illegal, etc. Florida state troopers for you! Should be busting the drunks! I had about ten of them with flashlights looking under my car and everything. Took like 30 minutes and they let me go with nothing!

Gotta break this up, can't let Joe have all the ladies to himself, lol.
Jill, I have two kids at home and it's like pulling teeth to get them to keep stuff clean! Always on them about it, need to keep them in the habit of cleaning when I get back!
Can't say I have ever had a ticket for tint, not even in CA.
