Thanks! I feel so much better now that she's fixed and I can't even tell where they fixed holes after taking the front plate off. Now to mount my show-n-go this weekend. And one of these days I'll get around to putting my SHR rear panel on too...I've only had it since Xmas

I wasn't aware Arin had taken a job at a body shop in Maryland.

They had it for three days. I dropped it off Tuesday night and they were still putting her back together at 5:00 tonight.

Is that what the old timers used to call it? Decompress?

Does anybody here wanna take over my spot on the MOTM committee. Nathan could use someone that would actually contribute. I think he's done the last three all by himself.

I'm burnt out on it. I need someone who is willing to do the work.

I'm sure it'll sell above my limit, and I think we are headed for a double dip and I need to conserve my funds and not extend any debt right now. The market is slowing down again already here.

To be honest I think its gonna be a ****ty 4 or 5 years till we get out of this hole. If ever.

We agreed that I'd buy the car and I placed a deposit on it. I'm picking it up hopefully Thursday of next week I think that August 5th and bringing it home.

I've borrowed a flat bed trailer from the GM of the local Ford dealership and I've arranged the transfer of funds. I'll be using pop's F350 and I'll drive that baby home. Hopefully this time next week I'll own my favorite Mustang made since 1970.

I will post an announcement thread when I have it safe at home. I just didn't want to make a big deal about it till I had title in hand, but I should have known better than to try to keep it a complete secret.

BTW Jim knows. He figured it out and I couldn't lie to him.

I've got 8 sets of ratchet straps, 4 that use special frame hooks like the transports use, and 4 that use axle straps. The only thing that worries me is safely getting the car on the trailer and hauling it home. The trailer looks to be very low profile when its tilted back. I just know I'm gonna be OCD about everything tomorrow.

I gotta go tomorrow and register it in my name and get temporary plates. Vanity plates here stay with the seller. I'll have to pay sales tax then. That's gonna suck.

I'm waiting for the day that someone here actually knows what an R is and asks if its real.

Forgot to share this yesterday. But August 5th marked my one year anniversay with the R!

Since then I've put about 100 miles on her, if even that. I built her a new home and put her on a pedestal above my pride and joy, Seven.

I worked so late I didn't even get a chance to drive her on our anniversary.

Surprised you've never come across that before Nathan. A fountain drink is syrup and carbonated water. They keep the syrup separate and mix it at the nozzle with the carbonation. This way they use the same carbonated water receptacle for all fountains and change the syrup independently. At a place like Costco or Sams Club you can actually buy the syrup in boxes. It comes in a bag inside the box.
I have a carbonator and make my own soda. You put a bottle on the unit and carbonate the water in it, then add the syrup. I use those "bag-in-box" syrups sometimes, but since the local Sams Club doesn't carry them I have to order online and shipping gets to be pricey. I have a 10 pound CO2 tank that costs about $20 to fill and lasts about 5-6 months. I can make the soda as strong or as weak as I want. Cheaper to make your own, and no cans to lug back to the store for a deposit refund!

With concentrates I add real sugar to make the syrup... No high fructose corn syrup!!!

Some of the syrup concentrate I buy for the soda and mix myself is used straight on snow cones! Good stuff!
