hmm, I would have figured the car's rollover sensors would have activated them. Eh, learn something everyday tho! All I know is that if I ever get into a wreck with Sophia, I'm gonna be wanting one of those knee/shin airbags, there's not much room btwn my knees/shins and the dash

Well, it just makes the rest of them worth more someday. You wouldn't believe how many SGTs I've seen destroyed on here in the last year.

Well they don't have curtain air bags. If they did they would go off in a roll over I suppose. No need for the side or front to deploy unless the hit comes from that direction. It can actually hurt you worse if it were to go off and the impact wasn't from that direction (or so I've heard). That's a violent occurrence when one goes off in your face.

My driver's ed teacher said cars are designed to break your knees in a crash. Heard some nasty stuff in that class. It's supposed to lessen the impact on the upper portion of the body though, or something like that.

6-8' orange snow stakes attached to the reflectors, and then you have to keep up with it or you'll lose the battle. Quick!!

Wake’n Bacon – The Real Bacon Alarm Clock

by Mr. B.

Quite possibly the best invention since whatever came before sliced bread, the Wake’n Bacon alarm clock is a work of pure genius. The shape of the device is modeled after pre-bacon and the concept is so simple I can’t believe it’s not already in mass production. You simply place a piece of frozen bacon in the alarm clock when you go to sleep and set the clock. 10 minutes before you’re wake-up time the clock starts cooking your bacon and you are awakened to the smell of bacony goodness. What could get the day started off any better? Well, maybe the aroma of Vanilla Bourbon Hickory Smoked Country Bacon…but I digress.
We’re definitely not the first to report on the bacon alarm clock, and will certainly not be the last. It’s already been featured on such sites as: Wired, American Public Media’s “Splendid Table”, Engadget, Ubergizmo, Gear Live, Design Boom, and many more.

I wish I could be in a Thundersnow storm. That sounds like it would be awesome to see.

My old boss was in a GMC truck and was hit from the side at 55 mph. The car rolled and went forward and hit an embankment head on and the air bags still didn't deploy.

I can see them not deploying in the roll over, but the head on shot to the embankment is weird. The truck rolled three times. His cell phone and change and everything in his console was all over the road for a hundred yards.

We had thundersnow here in 1993 and it shut the whole central area of the state down for over a week. In the rural areas where I live, we didnt have power for other 2 weeks if I remember right. Real wet heavy snow and ice from it, about a foot and a half i think. Suuuuucks.
