I love netflix, watched like 4 different series on there.
this day started out completely crappy, women are just rediculous sometimes. Then some friends called me up to go chill at the pool, which was great, then I did a pretty awesome burnout (for my first non powerbraking one), and when I got home I get an email that my school is going to pay for me to go attend a management conference in st louis in nov. One of three people, pretty awesome.

Cleaning out the garage. Boy is there a ton of crap in there.

So many home depot and menards bags with little odds an ends tools in them. I think I'm gonna have nightmares.

I survived the first day!! Surviving is the key word. Working in an area with high pressure cylinders can be dangerous.
Someone was doing a leak test on a valve, and either a bolt wasn't put on or it was defective. 1,000 pounds of pressure is used in the test. All of a sudden BOOM! This metal disk, probably about 5 inches in diameter and weighs maybe 3+ pounds was sent flying past me about 4 feet away. Being launched at 1,000 PSI it could have done some damage to me.
These tanks below are like 5-6 feet tall. The valves on top is similar to what blew. The red clamp you see on it is what let go. You can see part of the bolt holding it too. The valve is not on a tank when tested.
I was standing just to the left of this stand that holds brooms and stuff. The brooms have aluminum handle. The mangled one use to be straight. The backing is a hard plastic. There was a dustpan and brush there too, but the dustpan went airborne and hit me in the head. Luckily it was a rubbery plastic.
I wasn't hurt, just a bit shook up not know what had happened. They huy doing the test was standing next to the valve. Luckily he wasn't in the path of the projectile. I didn't see him, but I hear his shirt was all shreaded from the blast.
Other than that, the day was just a typical work day.
