So I was thinking about a K&N Filter for the truck, just a drop in. Figured "Hey, for double the price of a normal filter I can get a re-usable, etc one." Boy was I wrong, they want $53 for a drop in filter for me! F that! I'll stick to not gaining 2 horsepower and save $47 bucks to throw at a leveling kit

They are really expensive. And they aren't good forever like they say unless you really, really take good care of them. Just look at the filter that came on my used CAI.

That's what I thought for my other car. $50+ for a little square. Too much! Then I read about the over oiling issues messing with MAF. Besides the Bullitt's FRPP paper element can be washed (and/or KN cleaner) so I bought an extra and swap.

Well I just got a call from my Ford dealer General Manager. He apologized for the way I was treated. He said that day was his day off and he left instructions for no one to drive that GT500. He was concerned about the chunks of tire missing from the tires. He didn't even want it out front till the wheels are replaced and the bumper fixed. He said as soon as they get it fixed he'll have my salesman bring it out for me to drive.

And this part concerned me. He said, "If anybody has earned the right to test drive that car, it's you Gary."

I guess they've bent me over enough to let me drive the car.

So that feels a little better. Not the reaming, but the explanation.

I did notice the next day that the car was not there, it's back in the body shop parking lot.
