It was late and I was trying to rhyme in Spanish with hola chicas.

I had a cabinet built for my home theater equipment. I gave perfect detailed measurements to my friend who is a professional cabinet maker. Well he made it too freakin' big. So I spent the day makeing the hole in the wall where the cabinet sits larger. So I finally got that done, and "No Country for Old Men" comes on StarzHD so I stop to watch it. I own it on Bluray, but had never seen it. Next thing I know it;s almost 1:30.

That was a strange movie. Talk about your hunting trip gone wrong.

They also had old style blazer and a couple of the old Ram Charger. Lots of Broncos and Bronco look alikes. I don't know why they needed 4 wheel drive to get to that site, it was dry and I didn't see any soft sand but oh well.

I liked it. But I had to watch it late at night because the kids would have been scarred for life if they would have caught a glimpse of most of those scenes. I'm generally not much of a Coen brothers fan, but this was good for what it was. Mass murderers always make for interesting film.

The only problem is I'd still feel bad for any damage to either car... sigh...

I found this little guy though

how can i resist racing that speed machine!
If you bring that Toyota here, you can make a good deal of $$, apart that they are pretty scarce cuz the tropical enviroment/salt water has eaten them away. I've seen them run from $1000 in beater form and up to $5-8k fully restored. Oh and for drag racing they[re great platforms.

so here's the pictures that I promised. the truck is a 1991 Nissan, with a 3 valve 4 cylinder engine, that those tuner guys apparently like, so I knew that replacement parts were few and far between to start with, so I wasnt really looking to fix it, so much as figure out what went wrong. Engine had 280k miles on it, with no engine problems to that point. One morning, early, I was driving up the interstate when it overheated...which it continued to do ALL DAY. full story only by request. anyway, when they picked up the truck, it left behind a pool of oil and water on the side of the road. I thought that either the head gasket was blown, or the head was cracked. We took it apart, and there was that oil/water mixture everywhere, even in the throttle body and all over the air filter, ill never forget that smell. when we started to tear it apart, we checked the gasket, nothing abnormal. we inspected the heads, couldnt see anything obvious, and then we got to thinking, with all the water in the cylinders, there has to be a hole between the cylinders and the water jacket, which isnt unexpected, with that many miles. that in itself would be fixable, with a engine flush, and some sleeves in the cylinders. but since i made the mistake of driving it for as long as i did afterwords, it's more than likely that the bottm end is destroyed as well. we havent figured out yet what to do with it, so stay tuned

first pic is the throttle body, the oil water mixture made it back up, somehow, it's all in the filter in the second pic
third is the exhaust manifold, fourth is a pic with the valve cover off, and the fifth shows the depth ofthe oil/water mixture around the timing chain
two pics of the head, pretty nasty
the last three are of the block, you can see the water in the front and back pistons, and more of the nasty in the middle two, then when we cleaned it up a little, you can see that the pistons arent in too bad shape, but the coating is starting to wear off, and the last one shows the problem, the cylinder walls are really marred, im thinking that there's a few small holes in it, she was a ticking time bomb
That's the same engine that's found on the early 240sx's (KA24E, 2.4L 89-91). My bro's car had that same problem + an oil pump failure due to a timing chain w a broken guide eating the $hit out of everything. We put it back on the car and when we started it, OH WTH!!! oil and water mixed again! When we disassembled it again, we took a more meticulous look at EVERY component, since it showed the same symptoms as your truck. As of closer inspection, we found that the timing chain cover was corroded at the water passage it has on the mating surface, so that caused the "milk chocolate" phenomenom. It was repaired by a guy we know for a long time on Buena Vista Machine Shop here in my city and PRESTO! the car was fixed!
Sorry for the long story, but hope this helps, since it's a common problem with those engines.

Yikes, what for? It was supposed to rain here too, but it actually was pretty nice today. Light clouds, and in the 60s. I even got out to take some fall pics of the stang earlier this afternoon. I'll post them later after I finally get them uploaded.
