Put an inch of water in a pan with a lid on and get it to a rolling boil. Place the adjustable steamer with your veggies or shrimp or whatever in the pan, put the lid back on, steam for 5 mins. (I usually kick the heat up for 2 mins after putting the steamer in since the food is either cold or room temp. so you remake steam quicker. Then back to the setting that got you to a rolling boil. Works well on an elec stove.) The food should not be touching the water.
This is the ONLY way to cook broccoli (I hate overboiled broc!), carrots, etc.

I'm watching Unforgiven again. It's on HDNet right now. **** I love a good Clint Eastwood movie.

Oh. I made fried shrimp tonight. And jalapeno hush puppies and nice green meaf salad. Oh. And baked potatoes. Nathans posts about shrimp made me hungry. Nothing like fresh gulf shrimp.
