I was in my truck when I saw this one so I didn't play with it at all.

I also saw an 08 Black GT500 on the freeway in Austin this past weekend. I was in the Expedition and spotted it coming onto freeway from an on ramp about a 1/4 mile ahead of me. I sped up to catch it. You can tell a s197 from really far away. It was black with alloy stripes, my wife was being nice to me when she said she liked mine better, either that or she was putting the brakes on any thought I ever had of getting a GT500. They had the same color GT500 in the local showroom when I got my GT/CS. It said $45 on the sticker, and I didn't even ask what they would sell it for back in July '07. It was an '07 BTW. At that time the local lot had Shelby GT's with $42,000 on the windshield and Saleen 281SC's for $59,000. They even had a premium GT with only a 415hp stock Saleen blower added to it, with full warranty for $30,000 for the car and $12,000 for the SC for a total of $42,000. $42,000 for a stock GT with a base Saleen blower. WTF

I hate it when dealers think they can just throw a few parts at a GT and charge ludicrous amounts of money for it

They had a PJ they wanted $60k for. PJ's are so beautiful. The idea that they are out there for a around $40k now makes me wish I didn't have mine, so I could get one. I'd buy a PJ for $40k in a second. I'd sleep in it if I had to.

Reminds me of my grandfathers saying, my dad jokingly told him, "you're a dirty old man!" he goes "yeah, and I will be until I'm a dead old man"

Must either be my camera, or the lame pavement. It sounds better on the concrete coming out of my garage.

that definately sounded strange! lol
I'm surprised how easy it is to spin the tres in my grand cherokee, I've never tried to do a burnout in it, but I'll squeal them from time to time when I get on it pretty good, the 4.7 V-8's have got to have a good bit of torque, cuz my measly 4.0 Inline 6 will sit you back in the seat pretty well

We might be getting a Grand Cherokee soon. My sister wants a Jeep to lug her dog around in, and we need another car for the winter. It's nice to know that they have a good amount of power.

no one ever has a camera when I'm engaging in shenannigans in the Bullitt! lol. i've got into almost as much trouble as steve mcqueen did in his at times...

which does make for great stories, but not always the smartest moves on my part lol

And I prefer cherokees to the grand versions.

Give me a 2 door 4wd I6 Manual Cherokee anyday

Whats the best is if you get drag radials.

My 1990 had them and when you peel out the tires are so soft they don't squeal, you can peel out right infront of a police car, (not that i would recommend) and they don't even know since they don't hear it.

The problem is that the tires are usually gone in 10,000miles or less and they are $250-$300 a peice.
