Yeah, after contacting 4 dealerships,......I'm kind of losing hope/giving up on it. I really, really like that car A LOT, but I don't want to dance through hoops to get one. I would trade-in my Roush in a heartbeat if I could get exactly what I wanted for options and such.
Plus, the bankruptcy issue is always on the back of mind. But,...not too concerned with that. After 3 years/36,000 miles, the car is out of warranty anyways and my good friend is a 20 year master mechanic as well as his business partner whom I am also friends with, in case I run into any issues.

The fact that no one is getting back to you speaks volumes, Tony. Hell, you're practically dropping a sale in their lap. If they can't even do that right, how could you expect them to respond if you had fit and finish issues?

Given any thought to a 15/16 Roush Stage 3, or perhaps the anticipated GT500?

I'm always glad to help out in anyway I can and as much as I really hate to say this, Saleen is putting you through the same run a round B.S as both myself and my friend went through and if they're not even willing to contact you after submitting 4 email attempts knowing how serious you are about trading in your 2013 RS3 just in order to purchase one of their 2015 black label models ? I would not only give up hope on them, but I'd also tell them they can take their S302 black label and shove it exactly where it belongs and hope they do go bankrupt as they really don't deserve your business in the first place..

IMHO, you would be much better off either waiting for the 2016 Shelby GT-350 to arrive this upcoming fall, or perhaps look into trading in your current 2013 RS3 on a new 2015 RS3 or keep the 13 RS3, as I have no doubt it will only increase in value knowing how well you take great care of it along with keeping the mileage low..

This way you can get the car you really want and not have to go through dancing around hoops as in having to put up with an unstable company which obviously doesn't give a rat's a** about their customers to begin with anyhow..

It's no wonder why they have one foot in the grave and are that much closer to extinction, as they're getting exactly what they deserve

It's too bad. Saleen has had some fine looking Mustangs in the past. I know that Tony has the screaming thigh sweats for one and I can only imagine his frustration.

Yes Tom and Rocky,.....I have given the 2015/2016 RS3 some thought. I like it, but I'm not in love with it. I'm not too crazy about the body style still. I'm trying, but I don't know. I have contacted my man John and did say that there is a Phase 2 and Phase 3 coming out,......so that may help "sway" me. lol (I'll do a Phase 2 or Phase 3 car. Phase 2 is over 700 HP and the Phase 3 is closer to 800 HP. I don't know the TQ numbers on those yet though.)
I never did mention to Saleen or any dealerships about my RS3 yet. I don't want to give away all my cards just yet, until it comes time to wheel and deal.
I did get an email response today from one of the dealerships, so I emailed the name that she gave me, whom is the Saleen/Performance Specialist at their dealership. Let's see if he emails me back.
If not,...then I'm done. I've done enough "work". lol
I really do like the Hellcat Challenger still. LOL I keep watching those videos on Youtube and the car is just beastly. (Especially those POV diving videos done by Winding Road. Actually watched one last night.) That exhaust and supercharger whine is intoxicating. The engine makes about 825 HP and stupid TQ, but Dodge had to tone it down a bit to pass emissions. LMFAO It takes about 70/80 HP to run the supercharger alone.

 

I do agree with you as Saleen did indeed have some really fine looking Mustangs including the current one, however Saleen has nobody else to blame but themselves for the position they put themselves in and therefore I don't feel the least bit sorry for them..

I can definitely relate to the frustration Tony has been through, as I've been putting up with getting bounced around from one voice mail inbox to another for over 2 years and having nothing to show for it but getting the same old run a round B.S in return.. I'm now at the point where I'm actually considering selling my speedlab parts including my Saleen series VI supercharger and switching over to Roush..

In addition, I also have a friend of mine who factory ordered a 2008 Saleen Extreme convertible back in 2007 that was interested in purchasing a 2014 Black Label S302 7 months ago in which he, myself and another friend of mine who's a sales manager at my local Ford dealership attempted numerous times to contact the sales dept and despite all the messages we left, nobody ever bothered to return them.. So needless to say 2 months later, my friend finally got so frustrated and fed up waiting around and ended up purchasing a low mile 2009 Corvette ZL-1 instead..

With that being said, as far as I'm concerned, even if Saleen does somehow survive by avoiding bankruptcy ? One thing is for certain, they lost me as a customer along with my friend and many of others in the process as the damage has already been done..

 

Tony ! I really do hope for your sake that the Saleen/Performance Specialist does e-mail you back ? However I wouldn't hold my breath, as you've indeed gone through more than enough trouble and have proven how serious and committed you are time and time again about wanting to purchase a 2015 Saleen Black Label edition.. Therefore if this is how Saleen truly values you as a potential customer ? I'd be done with them as well and would also tell them exactly why..

I also agree that if your not head over heels in love with the 2015 Roush RS3 ? I would definitely consider the upcoming Shelby GT350 or perhaps even the 2015 Challenger 392 Scat Pack along with the Challenger Hellcat that you mentioned as possible alternatives.. Plus you can always look into the phase 2 and phase 3 Roush in which your man John said are coming out at 700/800 HP as well, if you really like them

If only I were lucky enough as you to have so many choices in which to choose from Tony, I'd be the happiest man on the face of this earth to say the very least

 

Still no email back from Saleen. (I never called Derek, although, I probably should.) But, I'd rather do long distance business through emails to have written proof of things that were agreed upon.
I did get 2 emails from 2 different dealerships today and emailed them back already. So, we'll see what happens. lol

 

Keep us posted Tony ! In the meantime, also consider calling Derek and if your able to contact him ? Perhaps he can also speed up your e-mail responses as well

 

Will do sir. I should probably call him and see how this whole ordeal goes about with a trade-in, and purchasing one of those bad boys.
I'm not going to chase these people around, that's for sure. If it was meant to be, it will be. Everything happens for a reason.

Buying a New Saleen if that is really even possible would be totally insane !!!

I have had one in the past and the Authorized Saleen (Local Ford Dealer) did not even want it back on trade for another Saleen.

Talk about a freaking joke and loosing thousands of dollars I have been personally there guys.

Can you just imagine paying $80,000.00 Dollars PLUS for a New Saleen and then No-Way to get the Warranty Service done on it.

Or try trading it or selling it when there are No Authorized Saleen Dealers !!!

Anyone that does someway or another get their hands on one of those $80,000.00 Dollars Saleen better hope they love it .............

Because they will Never-Ever be able to get rid of it, FACT !!!

I'll just keep what I have and be DARN glad I have gotten over Saleen years ago.



BTW, if you happen to change your mind on the new Roush Mustangs at least those guys actually do exist.

I also ran his Saleen Supercharger with his Saleen (Super Shaker) option.

Guess what guys ???

Oh, Saleen went BANKRUPT so No-Support, No-Parts, No-Nothing for those having his Superchargers.

Saleen may have been the stuff years and years and years ago but when Saleen went downhill he has stayed downhill.

I'm sharing these stories with you guys to possibly save-You so I hope you take these stories SERIOUSLY.

I actually emailed Mustang Manny earlier tonight and he emailed me back saying that they are not an authorized Saleen dealership. SO,....in any case, I give up on it. It's a sign.
Mustang Manny did say that they were a dealership for the new Super Snake and new Shelby GT350R. I said I do like both cars a lot, but I don't think I could afford the Super Snake. But, I asked him to send me the option list with pricing. (Just in case! lol )

 

Tony ! By any chance did you call Derek regarding your e-mail inquiries from the Saleen Peformance Rep yet ?

 

Tony ! You may not be able to afford the new Super Snake, but how about the Shelby GT350 ? 550HP is extremely very impressive for a N/A 5.2L flat plane crank V8
